I've come to the same conclusion using some of the factory profiles from either peter fischer, gondwana, and kemper amps : i simply add reverb, adjust gain depending on my pickups, sometimes add a bit of delay, and it is pure pleasure
Fantastic piece of hardware/software !!
Laurent
Thanks for the kind words.
Nothing terrific here, once a month, i download rigs from the exchange, i use the profiler rigs tags editor to generate a .csv file
I append the csv file from last month with the new one, and from google drive i import the csv file, sort lines by rig author, and voila.
Last step , i delete all rigs downloaded
Laurent
Salut matt,
Soit le bienvenu sur ce forum,
Laurent
Ps : bravo pour l'enregistrement !!
Documentation , now only a few slides, moved to google drive here :

I put some kipf files found in the "performances" directory of a backup into the "shared" directory of a usb stick, but is not possible to import them.
Is it something planned ?
Thanks to let me know,
Laurent
PS : Is it possible to delete/clear the content of a performance ?
Excel sheet containing most of Rig Exchange rig tags updated on October, the 19th (more than 3500 rigs)
Still sorted by Rig Author.

Added also the tags from Lasse Lammert's Rig pack in this sheet :

Hi,
Playing in a cover band, I would like to get close to the sound of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun"
During verses, there's a guitar sound having effect(s) , I don't know wether it is chorus, leslie, or other ....
For sure I can try to search by myself, but if you can give me some tips... thanks in advance,
Laurent
Do not forget the first free tag editor (PC and Mac) that was released Saturday, July 14th 2012 (search for "Profiler Rigs Tags Editor" thread , in Introduce Yourself section of the forum, currently on page 4)

Cheers,

At least to edit or rename tags, there are several tools available here : search for either profiler tag editor or kipr tag editor,
Laurent
I moved the doc here :https://docs.google.com/presen…P3_YhJxw/edit?usp=sharing
Laurent
I renamed the tool "profiler tag editor", and added the name of rigs used in a performance when reading a .kipf file
For example :
Performance detected
name....................................[Jazz&Fus]
slot1...................................[0Jazz IfIAinGotY]
slot2...................................[0Jazz LesPaul G3]
slot3...................................[Holdsworthy]
slot4...................................[Holdsworthy]
slot5...................................[Holdsworthy]
Nothing really important.
The tool is here : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…9/profiler_tag_editor.zip
and the doc here : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…0Rigs%20Tags%20Editor.pdf
Laurent
Updated with rigs from sep, the 1st
LInk remains the same : https://docs.google.com/spread…blJYRXB6cllQOTFtSnc#gid=0
Rigs are sorted by Rig Author
Laurent
You can find an other tool : in "Introduce yourself" part of the forum, there is a thread called "Profiler Rigs tags editor".
It is a tool dedicated to rename tags on the pc/mac, not very easy to install but i can help if needed.
I added some short videos at the end of a thread you created : "Renaming Profiles"
Laurent
Hi Raoul,
Didn't you try to use some user tools created for that purpose ?
I know there are at least 2 of them presented in this forum.
You would save time , energy, and fingers....
Cheers,
Laurent
This is a very good idea : be aware that as there is no naming rules for tags, if you want to find marshall jtm amps, you may have to search for rigs containing either marshall, or marsh, or mars, or marsha, or...
If you want to have a look at tags for rigs that are under rig exchange (most of them), i gave a link to
An excel sheet in a thread called "i thought i would share 2 excel sheets"
I will try to use it on my mac
Thanks again, laurent
Thank you.
By the way, I reworked the doc, it is now very (too?) short, it is available here :

Merci waraba !!!

A third video showing how to generate an excel sheet from a directory containing rigs is available here :
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…749/generate-csv-file.mov
The doc was also reworked to be very short, it is available here :
