im not so sure about this, i consider the kpa (and axefx) as a fairly high end unit and dont really like the idea of it bieng on the floor to be stamped on or things dropped or even worse spilled on it, i think most high end units are rackmount with seperate floor controllers just for this reason.
i have just had this reply from my enquiry, sent only a couple of hours ago regarding possible release date of the official foot controller
message from <[email protected]>
worst case is always setting
expectations and then not meeting those. Therefor we are very
conservative commenting on future product's release dates. You shouldn't
expect a release of our dedicated floorboard before beginning of 2014.

if there was an official pedal available i would but 2x additional powered kpa and have an all kpa rack goin for the whole band.
but there is reluctance to spend the cash from the others with no dedicated controller available.
SORT IT OUT!!!!!!! its long overdue!!!
i too would love to see a great profile for 8/12 string bass emulation :^)
Take a look at he Quad Capture from Roland, I use one in SPDIF since one month and I get flawless results. they are worth 250€
Drivers are very good on my PC.
great unit, low latency, direct monitoring and great preamps too, i think these are the best value interface (in this pricerange)currently on the market.
plus the spdif i/o makes reamping so easy it would be a crime not to record a di track :^)
thanks i'll check those out, but i still think there is room for more high end and or rare stuff.
im also surprised there hasnt been more Di preamp profiles too, especially since you can use them on anything.
Vintage channel strips and valve preamps and the like :^)
well if you dont ask you dont get, i would be happy to pay for some professional bass profiles, and i pretty sure im not the only one.
nice stuff too that people dont generally have access too like, sadowsky sa200, mesa Bass 400, Ebs fafner and Fafner II, Aguilar DB751, Ampeg SVT all valve series (pick one). Phil jones amps and cabs, Glockenklang amps and cabs, Berganito cabs etc. (there are many more options/brand to pick from too.)
If any of you has access to some these you could easily corner the market in high end bass profiles.
Just an idea

Also visitors can check out the new Pitchshifter effect which will be released with a new Firmware Version later in Q2.'
about time hopefully this includes whammy and intelligent harmony effects too.
cheers, its superior drummer 2 with the metal machine kit (standard plus black beauty snare) and some additional processing, i have spent some time on the drums as it took a while for the drummer to get used to playing on a digital kit.
there is a little processing on the master too but not much.
i have just been looking up potential foot controllers when i realised that i recently got a zoom b9.1ut at the bargain price of £99 brand new.
it has full midi capabilities, great build quality including proper metal footswitches and all importantly a solid expression controller with z control too. (standard up/down like a normal pedal + a left right movement that you can lock into place)
i havent tried it yet but there is no reason why it wouldnt work and to top it off they sound pretty good for bass and have a basic bass pedal synth onboard too. got to be woth a go.
has anyone else tried one of these as a controller?
thanks for the compliments!, i will update this when its finished too
thanks! always nice to hear feedback
i was goin for more of a prog metal feel, cant wait to get the vocals done.....hes not available for a few days though.
new track from my band 'Winterfire'
all bass and guitars parts recorded with KPA
no vocals yet
melodic metal using mainly splawn and engl profiles.
any feedback on the profiles used or the mix would be appreciated
nice - sounds BIG!!!
sounds awesome - would love to hear it with vocals, good luck with the search.
I agree i also think these are the best engl profiles out there, Awesome!!!
