Then again the profile sounds 10x better with one of Tills cab models....lol..

It's on the main page. I just wanted to also mention that the Dime 4x12 cab I used is actually decent. I turned my nose up at it first but after using it I really like the Eminence speakers. Good smooth clear tone.

Hey I actually slaved it into a Randall RT 2/50 power amp so you get the Blackstar ID tone with hopefully a more tubey feel. Hope someone finds it useful.

You are all missing an important aspect of his tone.....his facial contortions...

Welcome man thanks for your generous time and effort in sharing. Can't wait to try 'em!

Metal pack? Sounds like an awesome idea!
Yes it does a BIG +1!
You already do have alot of the amps profiled for such a pack. Heck your ENGL SE profiles that you did for free are my go to's. ENGL, Fortin, Recto, Blackstar(the series Gus G uses), Uberschall (already done), Framus Cobra, you already have the 5150 covered....same with the SLO...Friedman....I'm just thinking out loud lol....you got the Diezels......you got the JVM.....lol.....just throwing out the ideas....

Great tones!

Wassup Brother!! Good to be here! Im in the same boat as you. I have much respect for the FAS but Im finding that the Kemper is working better for the applications I use. Ive already nailed all of my crazy processed 80's tones ahahahahahahah! Now I need to profile my amps and call it a day!
Great time for guitarist
Hope all is well!!
~R~Cool man......glad you're having fun.....post up those profiles when you do 'em....

Good amp pack. Definitely the Blackstar and the Friedman look intriguing,,,may try soon. I'm still hooked on the free ENGL SE profiles you did in the past...

Definately needs a whammy
It puts the lotion on the skin......and definitely needs a whammy....

Hell yes, One thing I can say is that this thing is staying. The tone that I just got was worth the asking price and if it comes over the PA just like I heard when I'm playing live, Game over lol. It's great to know that even a complete newb like me who rushed into tweaking without RTFM was able to get a tone that made me happy and I was able to do it not even fully understanding the rig yet.
Oh and just for the record, Im not as clueless about tweaking sounds as I might sound hahahaha. I just figured that Id document my findings as it happens. So far, so good. I Went from WTF am I doing wrong to Holy S&^t in one day hahaha
Kick ass Ralph....good to see you here...I switched to the KPA two months ago and have been a happy camper ever since. FTR though I had an Axe Standard for 3 years and loved it to death. I never bonded with the Axe 2 though.....I was already 1 month into my KPA when I tried out the 2.....it was too late...
But I still have much respect for Fractal Audio products.....great stuff..

Kudos to RU for all the many profiles that you post.

Indeed his profiles are greatly appreciated. I've owned a Powerball and 2 Fireballs in the past and judging and playing the SE profiles I believe it is probably my fave amp IRL even though I have literally never tried one lol. The SE profiles always ends up as my go to's. Good stuff..

Yeah you would think they could. It's "passable" synth tones for sure. Which works just fine when you are just backing up a decent keyboardist on a few songs.....definitely not high quality but rather functionality.
-
So has anyone compared the Axe-FX 2 profiles that are free with the profiles Armin is selling? I'm just a big fan of the Axe-FX and wondering if there is any difference.
-
I haven't met too many ENGL amps IRL or profiles that I didn't like. No exception here thanks for the profiles again. I'm a BIG fan of ENGL amps.

It sounds like outboard gear would be your best bet for Synth type tones. I drive a fully rack mount synth and can make ANY tone I want from strings, brass, synth pads, crazy effects, etc. The KPA is monophonic....all notes mixed in one signal, so it will never be able to do a whole lot with pitch effects and morphing tones. A hex pickup into an Axion or Roland pedal will get you full polyphonic capabilities. The KPA works well along side this gear.

Hmm that's a bummer. I'll just continue to use my HD 500 then. I was under the impression that a KPA would be far superior to the Line 6 in terms of power under the hood and capabilities. The HD-500 does synth, pitch shifting and vocoder just fine for my band situation.

The Mako is excellent thank you!
