Can you post pics of which knobs these are specifically and where did you buy them?

Hey shred, cool rig!
It kept me jamming late tonight!
Ray man cool I'm glad you liked it. If I can I will do another profile but I gotta hit the road for biz this week. Glad you are having fun with the KPA....undeniably killer piece....

You got the midas touch my friend no surprise!!
-
Right on man will definitely try soon thx!!

You know the one if you like Slash tones. I have been trying to sell this amp for a friend of mine so I figured it was time to profile before I gave it back to him. All controls at noon except output master and lead master knob is engaged. Enjoy!

I swear an Aquanet pink can just fell out of the sky and magically poofed my hair!! Sounds Killer!

Ahhh... okay, I think I remember you on the MTS forum.
The amp is an RM100 2x12 combo with V30s. All mods were modded by Jaded Faith. I'm really hoping for some input on improvements!
Yup I used to hang out there...Rob is a cool guy and from what I hear does stellar mod work..I had Pete mod the KH-3 I used to have....thanks for the info and the profiles rock!
-
What are you amplifying these with? I used to have a KH-3 and modded KH-3 and some MTS heads. I currently own a RT2-50/2. Should be fun....thx for sharing...

I hope everyone takes this as a testament for the Kemper. I only have one mic. I don't even have a stand. I have it taped to a stick in a beer bottle. I'm using my daughters closet as an isolation box so that I can hear the Kemper for comparisons. I think her cloths help control the sound a bit.
That is just awesome

As far as I know the only difference between the newer and older concerning the gate is that the one on the newer is adjustable but on the older it is not - but it's still there. I could be wrong, but my old silver "mesa looking" xxx has a non adjustable inbuilt noise reduction.
That would be incorrect. Mine had no gate on it, no built in noise reduction, nada. They didn't start including gates on Peaveys until the first JSX models came out. Mine was first year production model tho....don't know after that.
-
I don't know how old the OP's amp is but the older XXX's didn't have a gate FWIW...
-
Thanks for these. The crunch one actually reminded me the most of this amp that I used to own...very cool.

WTF is wrong in playing only with 6 strings? You guys make me feel old!!!
WTH does that have to do with being old? I'm 47 in a few days (basically old as dirt) and I tune my 6's as low as 7's holmes....

Thx. I will also do All that remains, In Flames (Jesters Race & Reroute to remain) and some other stuff tonight.
Sweet!! And I will be waiting to download!

Just thought I'd try out profiling and try to give back to the community. It's my Axe Standard w/CAE Lead and FAS Lead amp models used powered by my Randall RT-2/50 power amp thru a Mesa Vertical 2x12 with EV's and a 2x12 G-Flex miked up with 2-57's. This is a high gain Metal profile. Hope someone likes it.

I've uploaded the guitar sound from My Curse (Record: As daylight dies - Killswitch Engage) to the Database. Have fun =)
http://kemper-amps.com/api/dow…Kl5ZqVRzZYfnX08?.kipr</a>If you want to hear how close the sound really is just listen to this file on soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/me-against-the-world/mycurse-kemper1
Short info for the guy who was asking for "The End of Heartache": The guitar sound is not that much different from "As daylight dies", the eq curves in Ozone almost looked the same. Just turn down Treble/Presence a little bit.
One last thing: If you want to use this sound in a mix you also need a heavily distorted bass to get the same massive guitar sound that you can hear on the records. Try a Fender Jazz Bass through a Marshall JCM 800 for the mids (and only the mids, no lows or highs) and a seperate DI track for the lows. Lowpass and highpass the distorted track (Lowpass somewhere between 3 KHz to 4,5 Khz, Highpass 300-400 HZ) so you only have the distorted mids on this track, then lowpass the DI track and cut everything above 250-300 Hz. Mix both sounds together.
Hey thanks for reading and answering my request....really appreciate it,
-
I get great sounds through a power amp and cabs. There are so many DI profiles and non-DI profiles that kick ass through my setup. I'm not going to get into how "authentic" it sounds but to me this question is moot. You can tweak away and achieve great tones like anything else. And anyone who says you will be disappointed likely hasn't tried such a rig...

The guitar is this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBcli0Rvr5AI am not very familiar with the different tones of Maiden. Don´t they play Strats? With single Coils? Any guitar only clip that´s usable?
They use stacked humbuckers currently. They also used Dimarzio humbuckers earlier on specifically Dave Murray using the Dimarzio Super Distortion on Number of the beast.
