I was hoping for something with Kemper on it
-
Have to stir the T-shirt pot again. Holiday time = big sales. Kemper logo T would be a hit. Take a cue from a lot of the younger bands that understand the value of a nice, comfy, good quality T. We could look cool and feel cool! Make it and we will buy it.

OK, good points but not what I was thinking, "The waiting is the hardest part"......

I like the Roland for the all-in-one aspect and the not-so-large footprint. 2 expression pedals plus 5 in a row footswitches that I can likely nail without looking at. Currently running a CAE Ground Control Pro and a Dunlop expression pedal. While this combo works very well it is housed in a somewhat large pedal board roadcase and I cannot hit the GCP buttons accurately without looking at them. I know, guitarist problems but I'm sure you completely understand. How did Tom Petty say it?

Really wish we could get a firm ETA. I'm waiting to see if the FC is all I need it to be or if I should go with a Roland FC-300.

Is there a link to settings/profile with the feedback effects included? UPDATE-Sorry, scrolled up on the link and saw them. Will have to give a test run.

Just for the sake of jumping on this horse: I own an Eventide Harmonizer. Was curious when I heard Kemper was adding harmonizing capability (probably the most exciting update I can recall in my time as an owner). Let's just say I no longer have any use for my Eventide. The Kemper tracks better, is more easily programmed and more versatile than the Eventide. I also no longer have any use for my Digitech Whammy pedal as the Kermper also does everything the Whammy pedal does without having an extra unit on the pedal board. $2000 for that fucking Eventide......

Makes sense, definitely worth exploring.

P is for pets haha
P is for "'Texas" as Billy Gibbons would say.... -
No, it's PILP.
Close enough! Don't get me wrong, I love my KPA but it's more of a "Let's go out and kick some ass and trash the city at high volume" type of love, not so much a "come here and be my sonic cuddle-bunny" type of love. Although, a bit of jamming in the ZAP SPATIAL STRUM groove might have me closing the blinds..... -
Is this post really titled PILF?
-
Speaking of 2 cents, any idea what a ballpark price on the FC might be?

I've experimented with a few "dual-amp" profiles. I took a Vox AC15 and a Fender Blues Jr, put a mic in the middle and faced them right at one another. I used a variety of setting and put a bunch of soundproofing foam around and on the top of them. The results were not stellar but they also were not bad (they are somewhere in the rig exchange under 'Fender-Vox"). Being a guy that ran a dual amp setup in my live rig am I still looking to capitalize on the possibilities. I may break down and buy another KPA but I am also looking to go into the studio with a friend a run a bunch of dual profiles with multiple amps using a proper mixer and separate mics. It will still lack the possibilities of separate amps (running one amp straight and the 2nd with a 50ms delay, etc.) but will likely yield some cool profiles.

George used to run 10" speakers, not to mention whatever type of studio magic was going on plus George's unique touch. All of that being said, if anything can get you close it will be the KPA.

I'm running a MAC as well. Missed the beta, I'll wait patiently for the working version. Meanwhile, I still don't have enough time in a day to master all of the coolness my KPA has to offer but I'm trying !

Needed to download an extractor to my mac, finally! Loaded and played through, what a great, great batch of profiles!! Thank you so much. A few weeks before I purchased the KPA I was about to pull the trigger on an Orange Rockerverb. So glad I waited!

Have not been able to open this file. Tried downloading direct to computer, also downloaded to DropBox. Added to my KPA usb but no luck. I'm running a MAC, could be the source of the issue. Any suggestion? I would love to try these profiles. Thanks

Just got around to trying them out in my rig with a Duncan JB equipped guitar (sounded like single coils on your demo). All of the profiles sound effing great! Very useable stuff in this batch. I know the Maiden guys used the JMP-1's and some other 80's folks as well. Really like this, like a Marshall with unmatched versatility. See if you have anything else laying around that you might want to profile!
