Thanks - not yet but will do. What is it?
I've downloaded them but too busy looking for a job and recording to really review and weed out from my 800 odd profiles. Decided to wait for a librarian and in the meantime get on with life...

Link now updated with completed song with the WEM at the intro and outro

Some nice big clean sounds using a WEM Dominator and a PRS SE Soapbar with Creamery P90's, to which I later added a Waikins Copycat using a VST, although 'm sure there's one in the Kemper fx's..
Anyway if anyone's interested in the VST its at:
http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=36I believe the profile's free from the ampfactory - anyway its a great clean sound ( and there's a neat driven one too - more of that later ) from this underrated amp. Nice one Andy.

Cheers - I actually think the profiles un-tweaked are better than the actual amp....
Anyone have similar thoughts?

Hi,
An instrumental 'tribute' to Paul Kossoff and Free and Marshalls, Rotary speakers etc, etc.
Its a bit ragged in places as ambition got the better of technique, however sometimes you've just got to let it go and enjoy the sunshine...
https://soundcloud.com/neilcon…ng-for-paul-demo-jan-2013I think all profiles are from the rig exchange:
Bass - Squier Jazz - LW Marshall Plexi LP
Main rhythm - Roadhouse Strat Bridge - Sheryl Crowe
Earlier Lead - Hofner Verythin - Highway Tills
Later Lead - Variax Les Paul - JMP1 OD2
Backing rock guitar - Variax Les Paul - JMP OD1

Garrincha,
Your knowledge on such subjects is truly encyclopedic, pehaps even not of this world.....

What's it like with the wick turned up? If its good perhaps you could do a couple more profiles?
Neil -

I've found Kemper Sheryl Crowe Marshall profiles sounds good with the neck pick up of my Roadhouse Strat for those cleaner chiming sounds - and put the rotary on is great fun, although not sure how close it really is..

No I'm sorry for my use of a English slang term - and you've explained about it.

A demo of a simple retro pop song:
https://soundcloud.com/neilconnor-2/james-dean-22-2012
Guitars and profiles used:
- Bass - Squier VM Jazz : Hiwatt DR 103
- Rythmn - Thinline : Selmer TB30 bright
- Main - Tele P90's : Matchless Av30 Push
- Lead - PRS SE Semi-hollow : Full 4-Morgan Push
I would really appreciate any feedback to improve the demo which feels catchy to me?

I'm not really qualified to answer this but have a check through some of the cleaner fender and vox settings, add some reverb, a bit of short delay and tremelo and bob's your uncle. Try searching 'country' 'tele' and 'clean' on the forum search and you'll find plenty of threads. Also check out http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…page=Thread&threadID=6102
Hope that helps.

Just been given this illustrated reference book which is equally great to look at and to read - note that some of the content has been in Vintage Guitar Magazine. As a relative newcomer to the various twists and turns of amps and tone I've found this really insightful to understand what's behind the vintage profiles we can now access

Highly recommended.

Clearly I was a good boy this year...

Should go nicely with all the vintage amp profiles
