Your profiles of the Engl special edition are awesome... maybe more of this awesome amp?
Of course!!

Of course!!
New presets by Juanma Blanco are online (Diezel Herbert/ Krank Revolution)....
To Juanma: If you read this, can you please give us more profiles of the Engl special edition?
Hi!.
Of course, no problem. What profiles do you want?. Clean, crunch, hi-gain?
And yeah, 18 new profiles taken from Diezel Herbert in the 3 channels (and dual gain in channel) and a couple of Krank Revolution.
Hi you all!
I've just uploaded a bunch of profiles from Krank Revolution and Diezel Herbert.
These were the settings:
KRANK (cabinet: Krankenstein 4x12)..
Channel Krank
DIEZEL (cabinet: Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12).
Channel 1 (clean):
Channel 2- (crunch)
Channel 2+ (hi-gain):
Channel 3 (hi-gain):
All the profiles taken with Shure SM57
Hope you'll enjoy them. In few days will capture and upload more: Bogner Uberschall, 5150 III, Dual Rectifier...
You can find some ENGL Special Edition E670, Krank Revolution, Soldano HotRod 100+....just look for my name on rig exchange cloud: "Juanma Blanco"
Edit: 2012 - July - 10
New profiles added to the rig exchange:
BOGNER UBERSCHALL
Distortion channel
EVH 5150 III
Channel #3
DUAL RECTIFIER (3 Channel version)
Channel #3. Modern mode. Bold Mode. Diode Rectification.
Also I've profiled my first bass amp, an EBS HD350 + Mesaboogie 2x12 bass cabinet. I don't know how good or bad will it sound. Sorry for the bass players if it's a shit
EDIT: 2012, July 14th. Added 22 new Engl Special Edition E-670 profiles. All of them taken from my amp's channel 3 (Lead 1) in MODERN mode. Mic: Shure SM57 (mexican) slightly off axis. Cabinet: Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12 loaded with Celestion Vintage 30. The Engl has 6L6 powertubes.
EDIT: August 1st:
Added 3 Blackstar Series One 100 profiles. All done in the Overdrive Super Crunch channel.
EDIT: September 11th:
Added 8 profiles taken from an Engl E-650, Ritchie Blackmore signature model with a new cabinet, a Mesa Boogie 4x12 3/4 open back with Celestion Black Shadow C-90 speakers. The clean channel works better with single coil or neck pickup. HighGain channel profiles works good with an overdrive in front of the amp if you need more gainy sound. Also recommeded: add a graphic EQ before the amp, leave it flat and add 1.6-1.8 db output.
Hope you'll like them.
hahaha...that's simple: the one you sold to one guy, then was sold again to another
Who have a modded 3+ ? Probably comes from me
The owner is called Raúl, from Bilbao...
That would be great, theres quite a few bogners on the exchange but not the uberschall .never tried one so lets hope someone comes up with the goods.
I hope this weekend will have another profile session with a friend of me who will let me borrow some of his amps:
Bogner Uberschall
5150 III
Dual Rectifier (3 channel version)
Marshall JCM900
Blackstar HT100
Mesa Triaxis
Mesa Formula Pre
Mesa V-Twin
Brunetti 101
but I think I'll try only the Bogner, 5150 III and Dual Recto. Maybe I can profile a modded CAE 3+SE, but it's not sure.
Also, I've in mind during this week make new and better profiles from my bands mate Krank Rev and Diezel Herbert as well as new Engl SE (I see you liked some of my other Engl ones...).
Unfortunately I'm able only to profile them using a (chinese I suposse!) Shure SM57.
Good job man, very nice sounding Diezels!!.
What a great week its been for those of us in the Hi-gain Division of the Kemper army(Kemper everyday),first we had a great set of Metallica eq matched profiles from silentundergroundstudio, then a superb collection of Engls and Peaveys from Juanma Blanco, also a nice CAE ch3 from bruno and now i"ve just seen an avalanche of Diezel Herberts has crashed in from r.u.sirius.Big thanks to all of you for freely sharing your work .
Those Diezels sound great!!!
Display Morequite simple.
click and hold the 'Lock' button.
The lights on the buttons on the upper half of the Profiler will go out (except 'Input' which is most likely locked).
Now, while still holding the Lock button, select Stomps, Effects, etc.
These LEDs will now light up.
Change rigs and the locked sections will stay the same.
To audition cabs quickly, for exsample, lock 'Stomps', 'Amplifier', 'EQ' and 'Effects'.
Changing rigs now only affects the Cabinet.
hope this helps,
Don
That's cool explanation!
I have dialed in great Djent tones with my Kemper. Secret is a good OD pedal before the Kemper.. amazingly enough just like a good amp. I have a TC Electronics Booster/Line driver and it combined with almost any high gain profile = DJENT
For more djent-like tone and certain amps you can dial the tone faster using Metal DS stomp. Works very good with passive thick sounding PUs that use to enhance the low-mid and low frecuencies as BKP Warpig or Holydiver. With brighter PUs such as EMG 81 or S.D.Pearly Gates it doesn't react as good, but in combination with StudioEQ you can achieve a very very good sound
fast delete & restoration?
Push the Softbutton One (top left button above the display) while you switch on the KPA and keep pushing until a message appears 'Mainetenance Mode'. As soon as the unit has started please push the Maintenance button, then the Memory button, and the Init Flash. This will clean-up the internal flash memory. Afterwards shut down and start again. There should be no rigs on your unit right now. Now you can restore factory rigs and which will bring your KPA into its initial state or import some from the USB pendrive
got this info from support...
New profiles added from Engl Special Edition:
ch1: Clean pushed.
ch2: Crunchy
ch3: with Flat EQ, vintage mode, modern mode, mids shifted....
ch4: deep & megalo punch on
Display MoreMy settings:
at home:
Bass +3 (yeah i know... but I prefer a bassy sound when there is no bass player around :D)
Mids + 0.2
Treble + 1.0
Presence + 0.3
at rehearsal/live:
Bass -0.4
Mids + 1.1
Treble + 0.2
Presence - 0.1
The new monitor EQ is very very good. I always prefered the Axe2 for direct guitarcab sounds, but with this new feature the KPA just sounds better and more alive than before and than the Axe. I guess it's just a EQ thing?
Plus or less the same as my monitor out EQ. I noticed that with that extra mids shift the becomes more tube-like through all the SS poweramps I tried...
That's what happens to me. I've my fav sounds and play them all the time, hehehehe.
Display Moreit depends on the internal memory , or more precisilely the part dedicated to profile storage :
Let's imagine the lowest option : 2 MB : 512 profiles ( 4 kB for a single profile ) we're much above ( with 1400 )
at 2GB (that can be much closer to reality, I guess) : 512 000 !!!
If someone as the internal memory specs we can guess , but there are other limitations ( ie number of files / inodes ....)
The short answer is : don't bother about it....
No, I don't bother at all. I was just curious about how much storage capacity has this thing, so I was trying to force the unit to its limits and see where it goes....I'm really using 5 different sounds only....It would be great to know specs of the machine as the manual is a complete shit.
Hi forumites!
I've just uploaded some profiles made this afternoon at one studio:
- Soldano HotRod 100+, distortion channel
- Peavey 5150 distorsion channel (one profile is with my cab and another one swapped to one Tills cab that sounds better for low tunings bass response)
- Fender Supersonic, burn channel, optimized for neck PU.
Also I made my own "frankenprofile" with one head and one cabinet and name to sound as the channel 4, modern mode of a Mesa Boogie Roadking but with the EQ settings I used to play with when owned this amp a year ago.
These ones join the ones created some days ago: Engl SE (CH1 & CH3) and Diezel Herbert (CH3).
Hope you'll enjoy them.
That's great!!!!!
Thanks!
Thank you!. I'll try them later!
Hi!
Any of you know which is the profile storage limit of our KPAs?. I've installed up to 1,300 rigs yet....
