But doesn't taking out the cab on a profile potentially take away 'too much'? Meaning, the profiler isn't exactly sure where the amp ends and the cab begins. Wouldn't profiling the Amp with no cab be the real acid test?

I own a rare Ernie Ball was from about 10 years ago. Sounds amazing with a massive sweep.

I mixed a song for a good friend of mine for his System Of A Down cello cover. I used my own 5150 profile on the distorted cellos. Turned out pretty good I think.

My buddy Rob did a System Of A Down cover on cello and i re-amped the dirty cellos through a 5150 profile using my KPA and mixed the tune as well.

Looking forward to trying this out! Did I spy a 6534+ profile in there? Use to own of them before I got the Kemper and miss the little monster. Any chance of a demo/profile on the RE?
The 6534+ profile is OK, but I will wait till I get a mixer so I can properly profile a multiple mic situation. Then I will make a video and give that one out to everyone

My Clean Sense is always on -12db.

If you ever do want to trade for a toaster, I will trade you straight up, Even include my unreleased Rhodes Gemini profiles.

The strange thing is I have personally never experienced any compression of my DI. My bridge pickup is 16k. And my wav's look fine.

I am recording an album and using the DI output of the Kemper to capture my DIs for re-amping later. My friend Keith Merrow alerted me to the fact that the KPA will compress the crap out of your DIs. Upon further investigation, I do not have this problem, and am fairly certian its because I always have my Clean Sense all the way down (-12dB). Here is a comparison shot Keith did of a DI using a Countryman DI box (bottom) and the KPA DI (top).

I am sure this has probably been discussed somewhere before, but I had no idea. I always assumed the DI of the KPA was a legit DI.

Saw this and thought I would share! Would love to have a Mastermind!

Ha nice attention to detail. I dig how you flipped yourself around to make yourself left handed.

That rig sounds great Fluff. Nice playing too!
When you profiled the Gemini, what mics did you use and did you use a mic preamp or go straight into the kemper with the mic?
That profile was actually done with a Two Notes Torpedo Live due to severe time constraints with the amp. I only had a few days with it.

Yep! Eventually I will get around to uploading it and when I do I will let you guys know!

Alex Wade - White Chapel
Ken Susi - Unearth
Brent Rambler - August Burns Red
Jeff Loomis -
Kieth Merrow let me borrow his Rhodes Gemini amp to do the new BKP Misha Juggernaut video so in my spare time I made a profile of the amp. Sounds pretty good.

Just like to add to what fluff191 was saying (is this the same fluff on youtube with metal profiles on the rig exchange?):
Yep that's me.

I don't understand folks who are secretive about their profiles. In this day in age, I think its important to share things like Kemper profiles. God forbid someone else gets a ripping tone lol
To each his own.

I was recently at a guitar show and a guy there had a Kemper rig set up and he was getting ready to start selling his profiles to the public soon. By trade, he is a sound engineer for a living (not a studio engineer, but a guy who gets paid to analyze the resonant frequencies of various products and those sorts of things).
We got into a discussion about sampling rates and after testing the Kemper for several months, his conclusion was that the reason the low end lacks on the profiles is because the sampling rate is simply too low to properly translate the low end. For the high end, its perfect (as shown in the EQ graphs). But for the low end the sampling rate of the profiler itself needs to be much higher.
I dont know how true any of that is, because well, I am not an engineer. Food for thought though.
