That sounds spot-the-fuck on. Good job!

Just saw the pictures and my balls rattled a bit. When your balls rattle, you know it's going to be good.

Hello hello hello. Here's a new piece that I just finished up. Used The Amp Factory Marshall JMP Profiles on this one. Charvel San Dimas with Seymour Duncan pickups, and a Maxon OD9 in front of the amp for the solo. Vocals are straight from my face. Enjoy!

So...I got a camera mount that attaches to the headstock of my guitar, and I decided to document a run at a solo I've been working on for a new song I've almost finished called "The Drugs." Enjoy.

Excellent playing, as usual! I've always enjoyed metal solos that are more than just *sweep*sweep*sweep*sweep*. I swear, sometimes there's so much sweeping in metal that you would think the band members own a cleaning company.

Sounds killer!

Dude, I've always enjoyed your playing. Thanks for bringing it!

Thanks, guys! It's gonna hit the radio here in Savannah this weekend! Rock 106.1. Thanks to And44 for churning out some killer profiles!

Thanks, man! Glad you dig it!

I wrote this on the way to work yesterday, came home after work and recorded it from last night until about an hour ago. I'm pretty sure it's the fastest I've ever written and recorded one song. It helps that it's a simple piece. My wife thinks it's some kinda 80s new wave bit, but that's okay. I was born in the 80s, so I'm alright with that, I guess. Don't mind the vocals. I only had a bit of bourbon before recording. It's hot today. I think about 79°F today. It's not supposed to be that hot in winter. Anyhow, the different profiles that were used are as follows:
Clean Rhythm Guitars: "A-Diezel HBT Clean+" from The Amp Factory
Dirty Rhythm Guitars: "Marshall Golub Crunch" by Marko
Clean Solo Guitars: "A-Diezel VH4 Clean" by The Amp Factory
Main Solo Guitar: "A-Diezel HBT Solo" by The Amp Factory (I also used my Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah during the last little bit of the solo for extra flavor.)
Bass Guitar: "BASS-Markbass Drt2" also by...wait for it.....The Amp Factory.Drums were Superior Drummer 2.0 Custom & Vintage running through a variety of thingymabobs. The guitar is a Charvel San Dimas with Seymour Duncan pickups. The bass is a shitty old Ibanez Gio that I picked up for about $100 a couple years back.

Enjoy!

That would be cool. And44 makes some pretty killer profiles. I use them for almost everything I've done with this Kemper.

Dude u have a decent voice... Go for it
Dude, I appreciate it, but I've tried singing hard rock and my voice doesn't do it. If I could sing hard rock, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I've only been able to pull off more funk-oriented stuff. I need a Cameron Heacock or Pete Loeffler-type person to do these. I simply don't have the grit in my voice to pull it off.
savannahalex do you already have words for your track? I really dig it man. Thanks again for helping me out!
Thanks, man! I don't have words for it, just sort of a melodic vision that's been hanging out in the back of my mind. In my head I hear something American Head Charge-ish, but that's just what I hear. I'm open to any collabs on it if someone wants to provide vocals.

I absolutely love this guitar tone. May I ask exactly what profile you used. I know you said it is from the amp factory....is it the Herbert that is included in their free rig pack through the Kemper website, or is it one you purchased? If you could help me locate this profile I would be extremely grateful. Also, what guitar did you use for this track? Have you tried this profile live? The rhythm guitar is rockin man!
I looked through my notes. It's the "A-Diezel HBT Ch2" profile. It was an individual pack that can be found on this page. For this track, I used my Carvin V220, which is a string-thru body, neck-thru guitar with Seymour Duncan JB/59 pickups set straight into the front of the Kemper. No pedals for the rhythm tone. For the solo I used my old Maxon OD9 in front of the Kemper.
Nice. Gives me sort of a Therapy? style vibe. Is the bass Kemper as well?
Yeah. The bass is through the Kemper as well. It is the "Hoss Genz-Benz Bass" profile by Hoss. It worked well for that song.
Thanks to all you guys for your kind words. It's a shame I never found anyone to do vocals for this track. It's just gonna collect dust with all of my other hard rock stuff, LOL.

Cool, man. Several years back, I recorded with a band at The Jam Room in Columbia. Did some recording in Charleston, too at a really great studio on James Island.
-
Sounds pretty good, man. What part of South Carolina are you in?
-
Man, that was cooler than Sinatra sipping a milkshake in a snowstorm. Really diggin' that hard. I need to hear more!
-
HA! That was actually fun to watch!
-
Great tone and playing. I also really liked the tone you got when you did the solo from "Comfortably Numb." Good stuff!
-
Sweet. I'm looking forward to the new "Instant Tone" button in version 2.35. You'll just push a soft key on the front...and BOOM! Instant tone. And bagels.

HA! Outstanding job!!
