MadRyan from the guitar amp board forums (the same guy who let me borrow/profile his custom built silver jubilee) has lent me his Mark IV A to profile.
[Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/8Tjt3Srh.jpg]
So far, I have made 3 crunch channel profiles and 4 lead channel profiles.
Lead 4 and Crunch 3 were made with the amp set in tweed power (variac) mode as well as set to class A and triode switches selected on the back. For lead 4 specifically, I had it's little switch on the back set to harmonics.
The knob specifics, I have no idea what I had them set to. I just know that I played with all the controls until I got a sound I liked and then profiled it then changed everything around so that it sounded/felt different and then did another profile.
I feel like I captured quite a bit of what the amp has to offer yet at the same time, the flexibility of the amp makes me feel like I have only scratched the surface
I think that the lead 4 profile is my personal favorite of the bunch due to the extra clarity the tweed setting gives you. The beauty of the kemper is that you can bounce from that profile to a full power profile and not get the huge volume change that the actual amp has. Taking that lead 4 profile and cranking the gain produces a VERY different feeling/sounding overdrive than what the other lead profiles (at the same level of gain) have.
Here is a sample of the real amp and the profile. I recorded both the amps at the same time so you can hear the identical riffs on both sources.

EDIT: I didn't realize there was a download limit on google drive files that are made public.
I guess it should have been mentioned that all the rigs are on the rig exchange. just search for "mark 4" and you'll see the 7 (so far) with my username as the creator.
Edit: Here's what they all sound like if you want to hear before downloading/loading to your kemper.
It's all 7 profiles of the mark IV. the 4th part of playing is the crunch 3 profile but with the gain raised.
At the end, I raised the gain of the 4th lead profile. I used my EBMM JP6 w/painkiller bridge pickup and dimarzio PAF pro neck pickup.
Goes from crunch 1 to crunch 2, crunch 3, crunch 3 w/gain raised Then, lead 1, lead 2, lead 3, lead 4 and then raising the gain up on lead 4.

update to the original post. there's a new profile I did. See the post/youtube video description to get the new profile.

Thanks they sound great.
Far micing this time?No but each profile has a little reverb added in the fx section

Borrowed a 50 watt silver jubille built by MadRyan from the guitar amp board. Amp sounds great. Made some profiles and uploaded to the rig exchange.
One is unboosted and then 3 different boosted profiles. One of them is balls out everything at 11 gain so it sounds pretty nasty but I could easily see it fitting into a song depending on the context.
The others are a bit more tame but still nice high gain stuff. The unboosted profile has a nice low gain crunch that cleans up really really well.
Hope you guys dig them.
here's the unboosted profile with the gain knob raised up a bit along with a backing track using my G&L comanche.

UPDATE!
I re-captured the profile using a different overdrive boost and mic setup. Here's a vid showing it and a 2nd vid of it doing lead work over a backing track. Profile can be directly downloaded from the video description on the youtube page.

Greetings! I'm still here but been craaaazy busy. I don't live in the same city as our new house (work out of town and live there with family during the week and travel back up to the house on the weekends) so getting things situated at the new house is slow going.
Anyways, the good news is that I've recently borrowed a friend's handwired silver jubilee and have gotten my studio sort of setup enough that I got some pretty cool profiles of the amp made today. About to upload them. I'll make another thread for this in a bit.

kemper is always recorded DI left and right XLR out from the kemper into 2 inputs of my focusrite pro 40 interface.
video sound is about 65% DI kemper and 35% room audio captured with an avantone CK1 mic up on my desk.

Buddy of mine over in LaGrange built an X88r Clone and a custom 50 watt rack mount power amp to go with it (loosely based off a JCM power circuit)
I did this video of it yesterday and finally finished tweaking the profiles of the lead and rhythm channels today and just now got them uploaded so go grab em.

And here is what the tweaked profiles sound like.

The top end is a little hairy and I didn't mess with that because once I heard it in a rough mix, it sits REALLY well with that cutting top end. It helps it really punch through the mix but if you want a smoother top end for just jamming at home, pull back the 10 kHz a little in the EQ.
I also added the tube screamer into the rhythm profile which really kicks it up into high gear nicely but a good overdrive pedal plugged into the front of the kemper works well with it too.

3/5 watt class A designed by Andy Marshall of THD amps. Sort of like a poor man's univalve and a solid little clean to mild break up tone.
This clip has a sample of all 3 profiles I've done and hopefully will have tweaked and uploaded in the next day or two. All profiling was done running it into my splawn 4x12 with scumbacks/K100's.
Clean, crunch with the preamp gain at around 1 o'clock and then a 3rd higher gain profile with the preamp gain backed down to around 10 o'clock and boosted with my klon.

Really nice man!
Love the Crunch and the Makoplex, while the Dorado is a gain monster which i'd never use.
By the way those are some of the few gain-high gain profiles which sound perfectly (for my taste) right out of the box.
EDIT: one question: did you add the EQ to have a better match?
No after refining twice, it's pretty much identical. I tweak to make it sound better haha
No though the nitro has a massive low end that is hard for the kemper to replicate and actually a frequency that I work hard to dial OUT of my recorded tone because it gets in the way of the bass guitar so in that aspect, the kemper is not a 100% match with the nitro but I'm ok with that lack of low end resonance because it makes it sit in the mix better.

fastred/pony, very cool as all of your profiles that i've listened to , btw, did you get my PM ? thanks , roger
Yeah I did I haven't had time to sit down with a reply yet but honestly, the user manual does a pretty good job of explaining how stuff works and there are a couple pretty in depth videos showing operation of the unit more in depth.
There's still a lot to the unit that I don't understand (mainly because I don't NEED to understand it at this point) but what helped me most figure things out was just to get in there and start turning knobs and listening to what changes happen with the sound. Mostly trial and error stuff. You can't really screw up anything unless you actually tell the kemper to save the changes.

Sounds pretty friggen awesome to me!
Care to shed some light on the equipment used?
LP with A2Pros?More or less. My Tokai LS150 (on par with R8/R9 gibby) and Sheptone Bryan Kahanek PAF's.

16 Jubilee is GREAT MAN!!!
The rest of them were either a bit too spikey/harsh or dull for my liking but man 16 is PERRRRFECT!
I tweaked it a little, added a little delay/verb and instead of the pure boost, changed it to the green screamer with the tone rolled back to -0.2 and volume set to +1.9 and gain at 0.
I messed around with it in this clip. really only turned the delay on/off as far as messing with the kemper. for the clean parts, I just rolled the volume back a little and then for the very end, the lead bit was with the gain at about noon and the green screamer boost engaged.

Again using the splawn nitro for a power amp
Sounds like this
http://www.tonefinder.com/file…5689-Kemper_Mak4_Full.mp3
clip starts on dorado channel then dorado with delay for lead then makoplex then crunch.
Profiles are uploaded up to the rig exchange. These new profiles are noted with V2 at the end.
-
I tried all that and it didn't work.
What DID work was re-formatting the thumb drive. seemed to snap out of it once I did that.
-
uploaded to rig exchange
sounds like this
unboosted
http://www.tonefinder.com/file…0-Kemper_JCA22_Rhythm.mp3
boosted
-
yeah I created 2 new profiles today and exported both to my usb thumb drive. One of them is normal and uploaded to the rig exchange just fine but the other one is for some reason, 0kb in file size.
I tried re-saving the full rig profile on the kemper itself and re-exporting the rig to the usb drive but it still is not showing up correctly.
For what it's worth, the profile inside the kemper sounds normal so the kemper is using SOMETHING to make the correct sound.
Any ideas on what is going on here?
**EDIT***
The fix for this is to reformat the usb drive. That seemed to fix it.

Ooh, I've been waiting for this one...gonna check it out now.
Excellent video, excellent tones.
Promise on the next one you use your Tokai LS160 so I can put it on my website.
You got it!

I'm sure I forgot to mention things and left important bits out but I'm sure I'll have more videos I'll do.

Bump!
I uploaded a new profile of the nitro that I did. This profile was done using new speakers (scumback/k100 mix) and boosted with my eden analog austin overdrive.
sounds like:
