This I could not get with Yamaha DXR10.
Try the imprints through the DXR10 (monitor cab off, Kone on >monitor out into the DXR). Not bad... (Directivity around 2-4 pending your guitar)

It will work. I've been using my Beat Buddy 2 button switch and just purchased a 4 button switch of Reverb.
Has someone experiene imprints to use with dxr10?
Not the DXR10 specifically, but other powered FR. Use it through the monitor out with cab off. Very good sound and feel. Still playing with it but it provides something special I have been looking for.
Go into the system settings and check the designation for the switches. It has likely been reassigned. Change it to tap and you should be good.
Would love to hear from someone with a HeadRush FRFR-112 compared to the Kabinet. It's gonna be awhile before Sweetwater gets them back in. They are having to close 2 weeks starting tonight
I don't have a Headrush but I am trying it through an EV ELX112P and Yamaha HS-8 comparing it to the tube amp through a 12H75, the profiled amp with cabinet through the same (FR) speakers and the DI amp profile through (>>SS poweramp>>) the cabinet with 12H75 speaker. I'm finding it makes even the FRFR sound a little more open and liking it so far. Just starting this and hoping that it might become an option through the main outputs. I'm liking the 12H heritage and 12T so far, but still messing around.
(not the master volume!)
Yes, sorry for the incorrect term. I was thinking the opposite of what I noted. The "master" volume being the top knob is not the knob to change. I have that set as my monitor out so I think of it as something different than what it is marked.
You would do just as you said. For each switch/rig set your master volume at the level you want and save your performance. When you make your changes your volumes will be as you want. You can even incorporate morphing and have volume boost that way as well.
Also, the DI location does not include the power amp section.
On the back using the alternate inputs.
Then in output adjust the level to what you want.
I've spent some time doing a DI using the Weber, Behringer and a cabinet with Fathead II mic, preamp and WGS Blackhawk. They all 3 came up with the same gain value +/- (3.5, 3.6, 3.5 resp). I loved the cab and mic so much I did about (10) profiles. I will check back after a few days to have a fresh perspective. If no one else has noticed this maybe my reference was off.
Hope the cheap Berhinger works.
Been doing this since 2012. Used it many times with without cabs with success. How the DI's compare to each other and the amp is the big question. Transparency is the key not cost.
The Webber and Captor are both attenuators with built in DI.
Yes, I own them. I will see if there is difference with the GI-100. I noticed this also with the Ox amp top box although it was a smaller variation.
Weber Mass 200. I will try my Two Notes Captor and Ultra GI100 and see if I get different results.
I'm not reamping or recording. I make profiles without a cab (DI device - Weber Mass 200). I then have some cabs of speaker/mic combinations that I have found consistent. I add that cab and compare with the original amp. I'm finding that profiling without a cab yields a little more gain compared to profiling with a cab and mic.
Does anyone making profiles with DI think that the completed profile has more gain than the amp setting using a DI? I go back and play between the amp and the Kemper after a few days and on the medium gain settings for my amp I end up dropping the gain about 1 increment (not 1 dot - whatever the units are from 3.5 to 2.5) on the Kemper during A/B sessions. Curious for the opinion of others on this.
It's the USB. I have loaded IR's, effects, profiles, etc using that method without issue.
can we do morphing option with this controller like the kemper remote
Yes.
I have not had good luck with Tone Matching on the Axe 3. I have made some IR's with success.
If you have a volume pedal setting around you can get a cable with ring and tip to stereo and use it as an expression pedal.
The only thing I noticed is I had to turn the Kemper up a bit louder than usual but this may be because of some miss I scooped a little during the profiling process and I was told in a different forum that the amp section of the profile can be boosted... didn’t think of that. I will experiment with this next time but so far I’m really happy with the result.
Could be that when profiling the volume setting was a little lower than your Kemper amp and therefore the final profile was a little lower. You can adjust the level in the amp or volume knob and save it to balance out with your other profiles if need be.
