Just be aware that headphones will add some color to your sound that will be different from what your monitors put out - in case you start mixing and all that stuff.
That's why it's important to use very good headphones with flat response and not cheaper ones. It's better to use good headphones and a headphone plugin than monitors in a untreated room.
I guess you don't own a kemper and want that quality into another amp sim, right? Overloud claim they have succeded and created, well not profiles from kemper, but some kind of process and made presets for their ampsim . So I gave the ampsim a try and...it doesn't come close. If you want the quality a kemper can give you have to own one.

It's never that easy. You have to know what amp(s) was used, and more importantly what cab(s) were used and what mic(s)were used and how they were placed. What guitar(s) was used and what pickup(s)were used. And above that, the guitars sound like they do becuase of the rest of the instruments in the mix. And after that they were EQ:ed to fit in the mix and lastly the songs were mastered. And their sound is becuase the way they play. It won't matter what gear they use, they will sound like them self anyway and even if you used their stuff it will not sound close enough to their sound. I guess all this was the answer when metal producer Andy Sneap said in a interview a longer time ago when so many metal guitarists searched for the Clayman sound from In Flames and said you can't have that sound.
i bought a kemper stage and dragged the Factory effect presets to my profiler but i got lots of of duplicate presets, i dragged to folder to not miss any presets,
I had to delete the duplicates 1 by 1, and there were lots hehehe, would be nice to dont let add duplicate presets like in rigs, you get a message that some rigs were not added because they were already in the profiler
thanks!
I totally agree too. I hate when that happen and now at least if I use rig manager it goes faster to delete than when all profiles where in the kemper and to press and delete. Press and delete. Press and delete. Press and....
I don't understand why I or any other have come up with this before.
To tighten an amp for metal, forget about the gain. Turn it down to 0 and turn up level to anywhere from 12 to full. Depending on how much gain the profile already have of course. Tone from 12 to 3 o clock. That's it.
Hi All, my name is Leigh Finally got myself a Kemper stage been lusting after a KPA for ages and finally pulled the trigger. The community and resources on here are awesome, and after the first three hours with the stage all I can say is I am blown away.
So, Hi and i appologise in adavance for any newb questions that I come up with
Welcome and don't apologize. Everybody here has been a noob. Ppl are patient here with newcomers and more friendly than on other forums.
How could I have missed this? Downloaded the free profiles and I do like them. Nice to play swedish death metal with the herbert profiles. I know At the Gates on one of their album mixed tracks with both OD and tracks with the HM-2 pedal and a 5150 amp and it sounds killer.

The problem I have with many of the commercial profiles is many of them have too much treble/presence in them. I guess it's becuase many vendors make their profiles with their very low down tuned guitars/ 7 string guitars so they need more of it. That's why I only find a handfull of the profiles useful for me. Here I liked all the of them and no drenched in too much distortion either. 10$ is a silly good price for this. I will buy the full pack.
