I had that problem a while ago, but unfortunately I can't remember how I fixed it. Try resetting the system memory by holding the system button down when powering up (turn from Off to to Tuner mode)?

I took a quick look at it. It's boosted at 4.5kHz, 2.6kHz, 1.3kHz, cut at 800Hz, then boosted the whole general area between 80-400Hz, high pass at 60 Hz.
So if you know what was used for the album, using a similar profile with those eq settings will get you close.
-
Remember that the rest of the mix needs to match as well for it to sound the same when the drums and bass kick in.
I could give it a go to try to make an eq'd profile for you that gets you close.
-
Mine did that once I think. Did you try to go through all of these?

I finally remembered this fix when I've been fighting with latency for the past 4 hours when reamping.
I pressed the button, button lights up, aaaand the phasing is still there, completely randomly. What now? Starting to get really frustrated.
Running 1.8, trying to reamp the same di through two different profiles.
Do I need to go back to 1.6 to make this work?
Edit: I got rid of the random phasing, problem is, to my knowledge I didn't do anything differently.

I wonder if anyone has thought this out yet.
What happens when we have ALL the amps in the world profiled?
Will we be forced to make music then?!?
Nah, then we start tweaking the eq, gain, change guitars, speakers, cabs, mics, mic pres, mic positions...

fretboardminer, that was the point of this thread. Since I already have the 2x400W 10"-1" Operas; I wanted to find out if it's enough, and the consensus seems to be that it's not a good idea?
That's how I use them, as wedges.

OK, I guess it's just better to get a cheapo bass rig even if it would be quite tempting to use the KPA.
Another long shot: is the TC Electronics BH250 loud enough for a metal band, or should I opt for the BH500?

What the title says.
Any underlaying problems with this setup? I'm thinking of joining a thrash metal band as a bass player. I don't have a bass rig, but I have the KPA and my FRFR. I think adding a sub would help a lot though in terms of wattage.

Hyvältä kuulostaa!
I like the seocnd clip more, it's a bit more focused sounding. Nice amount of presence too.
Please upload this to the rig-exchange?

Oh, I forgot to put the order in there. They're Rectifier scooped 1,1.,2,3,4 then Rectifier uberscoop 1-4.
So the first is "Rectifier scooped 1" and the second "Rectifier scooped 1."
How do these transtale on other peoples systems, since I'm noticing the latest Mako and Mesa profiles are getting either no votes or 1 or 2 stars? Which is kind of strange to me since the Savage profile for example that I did ages ago has an everage of 4.4 with 10 votes, and that profile sounds absolutely godawful to me.

I made some more today, with the setup that I used for the RACKTO257CENTER profile, but I set the amp slightly scooped and really scooped, boost and no boost, spongy/tube and bold/diode.
Compared to the "4" batch, these have more low end bloom and are more modern metal voiced vs. the thrash metal tone of the "4" batch.

Yup!
I added some slight eq tweaks in the X and MOD spots. @80Hz, 250Hz, 320Hz and 1.5kHz a cut, @5kHz a huge boost. Amp eq was flat, and I used the original cab. No boost for rhythm.
I added a TS in slot A for the lead.

I checked it out, and used it for this drumjam posted on another forum:

It has a nice slow bloom on the pam mutes I haven't heard in any other profile yet.

Sweet! I'll check it out!

That sounds awesome!
If the profile is a freebie, anyone want to send it to me? (TAF is down atm).
-
Thanks! That's exactly what I'm aiming for. A really tight low end and lots of clarity on the top. I think these are the best I've made in that regard so far.
It is really easy to dial in the tone too muffled, since a tone that works in a metal mix is really bright and harsh on its own.

Yeah my bad. It was 96 samples.
