New all Kemper track added.
^This. The only thing I'd change is that ride cymbal (0:12->) is ear piercingly bright.
Sounds pretty good! You could back the limiter off a bit though, it's a real brick wall now.
What profiles did you use?
Mixed by me, will be mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound. A lot of the guitars are Kemper, two songs will be 100% Kemper.
I'll post updated mixes once in while there. The first song is a mix of Diezel Herbert and Engl Savage. On All for Nothing the guitars are a mix of Diezel Herbert and Engl Savage. On Burned Alive the guitars are all Kemper.
Thanks! The original has a way faster tempo, but I had to drop it down to do those slides.
Profiles uploaded to rig exchange! Thanks again to sirius for these, these are pretty much the best faux synth I've come across.
Remember that you need to play like you would play a synth to make the guitar sound like one. So no regular chords, bends or vibrato, no picking dynamics etc. Fast slides give a believable portamento like I demonstrated (poorly) in the clip.
Hey these are great! I made the synth on this with them:
It's Dan Swanö's Sun of the Night. Playing could be better.
I added some ring mod (10%), rotary on fast and compressor with heavy compressing on the synth to make it sound like that. I also put a low pass at 7kHz and some verb in post. Neck pickup with the tone turned down. This was a really quickly done so with further tweaking I'm sure I could nail it better. First melody is profile 03, the last is 09 I think.
I can upload the profiles if anyone wants them?
Just uploaded new tweaked, more mix ready versions of the rigs.
Uhm, At the Gates "Slaughter of the Soul" was Boss HM2 and Metal Zone, not 5150.
But for modern death I'd go with anything Engl. Fireball, Savage etc.
For a huge sound, Mesa Rectifier, Diezel Herbert. For a really huge sound, a big distorted bass guitar sound + middle heavy guitar tone.
Thanks guys, I uploaded some Engl Savage profiles to Rig Exchange today.
Just did these quick today, I think they came out alright.
