LOL! This is what my bandmates call my Kemper
The distinct electrified toaster
LOL! This is what my bandmates call my Kemper
Kemper (including Access Virus) is a company with 17 employees and me. That is huge!
With this incredible force we have desperatly attacked small Fractal Audio that was able to grow by 500% in four years. How many people might that be? 5 or 6 or 18?
This is really crazy stuff.
But let me tell you, with 18 people in total we are far too big to maintain a small-company attitude
This an amusing time for me, I am enjoying all this madness.
Good for you Christoph! That's the way to do it
Hi guys. Got the chance to do another video on the Marshall JMP profile again. Those who saw my last video would of noticed the obvious clipping which I've managed to avoid this time. Also done a few seconds of how this profile sits in a general music mix. Sounds great to my ears.
Forgive the playing, i'm demo'ing the tone, not my abilities haha.
Hope you enjoy. Watch in HD and TURN IT UP!!

To me it sounds fine. Works/sounds just as expected. I think this is a classic case of 'subjective tone'. To you it might sound 'wrong' or maybe 'bad', but to others....perfectly fine. I use the Green Screamer in many of my profiles as I find it really tightens things up. I LOVE it.
Great vid. The clipping reminds of the discussion if a slight brickwall limiter might be useful in the master section.
Thanks. But just to clarify guys...the clipping is not from the Kemper, the profile itself is nowhere near clipping...its from Adobe Audition what I use to record. I just had the level up too much on my USB interface.
Thanks for the kind words guys I appreciate it. Sorry to keep you in suspense but i'm not able to check what the profile is atm. It's not from the ampfactory I know that, so it's either stock or downloaded from the Rig Exchange. I'll post a more specific reply when I can.
Guitartone....funny you mention the aliasing 'problem', on this particular profile I really listened for it and so far...not a hint of it.
I plan to do a better (without clipping) video very soon.
Tony.
Came across this profile and just had to do a quick video on it. My fingers are hurting from this profile I just can't stop playing it. So much fun. Sorry about the clipping it was put together really quick and didn't have time to redo it.
Turn it up!! \m/

There's an even cheaper solution: http://www.thomann.de/gb/gator_bass_drum_pedal_bag_gp66.htm
I have it and the Kemper fits perfectly.
Wow, great video. Your a braver man than me taken it to pieces!
Tight dry highgain sounds, 2nd clean
+1 mainly on the high gain ones, but nearly equally love my clean tones. Very rare i'm on the 'classic rock' profiles.
REALLY good tone. I'm thinking of getting some amp factory packs. I'll take it you would recommend them?
Nicely mixed! And some great vocals. Good job mate!
Getting back to the OP - Old tech/new tech...White, black I dont care. I own my Kemper simply because I went to see a local gig and the guitarist was using one and I was LOVING his tone. Not so much the 'tone/sound' just the richness and the depth of it. I couldn't care less on the 'stats' or DSP or any other numbers. Only that it sounds great and is reliable! I use my ears to dictate what I buy
I own a black one cos the only one my local store had in stock was black, but I would of went with black anyway given the choice! Also I use mine live and I think the black one looks way better when all the house lights are down, stands out more due to the contrast
Is it just me or does CK also seem really tired and burnt out? And not just because of the time difference between Germany and the US, but also because of working for 6 years on this project.
@CK - Seriously man, if you need a break please take it, go off on a cruise or cycling holiday or anything away from computers and technology. No job, project or product is worth your health. We can survive on the current firmware for a month or two longer if it will mean we can get you back rejuvenated and full of ideas and passion.
I thought the same thing. The guy is probably flat out working LONG hours. Sometimes you need to take a time out, like you say..a nice long cruise or beach holiday to sit and reflect and put things into persepctive. Then come come back all refreshed and rejuvenated!
I'm certainly thinking about getting a pair. I've used quite a bit of Behringer stuff in the past and never been REALLY disappointed.
Another one here looking forward to seeing the vid. Any idea on when it'll be up? I would of went myself to the get together but it was just a tad to far from me up here in the North East
That sounds really good!
Yes, I guessed this correctly. To me the Kemper reverb trail on this clip gave it away, along with the harmonics. Axe FX doesn't sound like that (or at least mine didn't it)....cool clip though. Thanks for the sharing.
Yeah, I knew that the reverb would kinda give it away..forgot to turn the darn thing off An Axefx ii might of threw some people, but all I have is an Axefx Ultra (as my Youtube subscribers know) so I had to just go with the Ultra lol. I'm still intrigued however, what people will/would say if I said that the clip was the REAL amp I was VERY tempted to do that haha.
Decided to have a little fun with this video, take a look and see if you can guess correctly!
Watch in HD and TURN IT UP!
