It looks like it would sound small and boxy to me
....Until i see the real picture, anyway
"currently wired at 4 ohms ( 16 x16 ohm speakers)."
Do you have a cabinet with two 16 ohm speakers in it? Or, two 16 ohm cabinets?
Two 16 ohm speakers in parallel is 8 ohms.
In series, they would be 32 ohms.
Start slow - focus just on what you really need. If you buy a large number of profiles, download a large number of profiles, it could take you YEARS to listen to them all.
There are many, many, GREAT profiles that come with the Kemper. You may find everything you need there.
Look at the Free Rigs section of the Forum - many of those threads contain sound clips, so you can hear the Rig Exchange Profiles.
Make the Delay active in the Display. Use the TYPE knob to select Analog, Free, Tap.
If you are going to change sounds with a MIDI controller, In Browse Mode, you have to manually assign the MIDI change number to each rig.
Performance Mode automatically assigns the MIDI program change number by the Slot - Bank 1, Slot 1 is MIDI 1.
Bank 1, Slot 5 is MIDI 5.
Bank2, Slot 1 is MIDI 6,
etc.
"sorry for the inconvenience" ???
People just HATE the inconvenience of having MORE free profiles
Thanks for posting them!
KMI also makes an adapter box that allows it to be used in free-standing MIDI mode.
The KMI SoftStep is small enough, and a very sophisticated controller.
Adding a parameter to switch through the User Input settings remotely (with a MIDI CC or from one of the new foot pedal inputs on the forthcoming KFC?) would be another way to do this.
Or - just standardize the outputs of your stage guitars enough to not need Input changes. but keep them different enough outputs for their individual personalities to come through. If Jimmy Page could use both a Danelectro and a Les Paul Standard live through one rig, each Kemper Rig can do it, too
Welcome!
Thanks! Let us know how it goes
In addition to SPDIF, and in addition to the Main and Monitor Outs, the Kemper also has a 1/4" direct out that can be configured to send a separate "analog guitar only" signal to your recording interface.
.
Welcome!
Yup - could be
Awesome...! I'm sometimes confused by the TYPE knob and the BROWSE knob. Now I know that you can pick any type of fx through the TYPE knob and find many expressions/examples of that particular type under the BROWSE knob which makes it easier to tweak, rather than to start from scratch.
I understand that by RTFM you mean: Read the FINE/FRIENDLY manual....
Thanks!
If its any consolation, I still grab the TYPE knob sometimes when I want to browse presets
Let them know on the main website - not just here
If this is a Website problem on the Rig Exchange, it would be a good idea to send a support message to Kemper on the Website (not just on the message board).
