On the the high gain pack the Victor v50 is the standout for me(which i believe is a Victory V50 amp).
-
I downloaded the heavy pack with no problems, btw i love the price on these packs (please make more with this tag price!)
I liked the wizard, but the rest not so much.
Still, i was playing a Tele which is probably not the most appropriate guitar (altough i get some good sounds out of of other high gain profiles with this guitar).I plan to buy the 800 pack and that Diaz one(i get good vibes from that one) too.

Let me preface this by saying I literally did nothing more to my Kemper than turn it on, plug my Guthrie Govan signature model guitar in, and plug in my Bose QC15 headphones. Believe me, I know Bose headphones aren't the best way to judge the Kemper.
I have the same headphones.
I love them when i fly on airplane because of the noise reduction system (i fly a lot...more than i would like because i hate airplanes), but i don't use them for anything else. They sound horrible with the Kemper, for the simple reason they aren't suppose to be monitor headphones(the fact they have a noise reduction system is a dead give way).

Keep it clean guys.
This is a very interesting topic thanks to deadpan, let's keep it that way.

Honestly the internal OD's are LITERALLY the only thing I don't find to be stellar about the Kemper and I rarely if ever use them.
I do like the green screamer and the clean boost, the rest not so much.
I dream of a Klon od in Kemper( i miss the one i had), im pretty sure the development will stir this way eventually and we will see improvments in this area of the profiler. -
Recent acquisition! I am in the RTFM stage to try to figure stuff out on my own, before I bother the general population with questions. My wife (who works at home) is almost as thrilled as I am...!

Looks super cool.

It would be nice, something in the line of a Boss slicer.

A tweaker's dream.
If you have the know how of the unit, and you got the patience and time to spare the Axe can sound as good as everything out there.I have no doubt in that(mainly beacuse i have some experience with the the Axe II).
For me il admit it im very lazy, and the due to the plug and play phisolophy behind the Kemper unit i get a more a immediate satisfaction.
Sure i sometimes tweak, but only the effects part of the unit (and i don't waste much time).Ps: I also want to try the Atomic amplifire, if i find a second hand one for a nice price i might buy it.

My RM says 6979.

Put me down as officially NOT wanting Spring Reverb anymore.
I'd rather have an Editor as my priority because literally everyone asking about the KPA wants one.
And with the Helix and FXII's both having one, Kemper kind of has to respond IMO.Then USB recording.
Then profile morphing.
Then 2 days before Kemper II, you can have your Spring Reverb.
Usb recording is not possible, the unit wasn't developed with that function in mind
Meaning, the unit doesn't have the hardware that would enable recording sound. -
It depends what you put in there.
I don't use any pedals today, but with my first Kemper i recall using an old Phaser pedal that was a bit noisy in the effects loop. But i didn't have problems with modern digital effects in the loop.
-
I agree that the pitch FX are not up to the level of Kemper's. That much is objectively true. But all the other FX, to my ears, are at least as good as Kemper's. I prefer the Helix' Univibe and Fuzz Face, for example.
Delays, reverbs and drives are really good on the Helix.

Personally I think this is another useless thread going nowhere.
And like all the threads before dealing with *that* same topic it will continue until everybody will have expressed his opinion.
It would be a great example of this forum's maturity if this very thread would simply die naturally.Go to the fractal forum and in the search box put the word "kemper".
It's not very diferent from what you read around there, they bash and mock the Kemper unit(or the helix etc etc) everytime the subject comes to a conversation.
The only real diference bettewen the two forums maybe is that you have some users who are registered on the Kemper forum bashing the Kemper unit on the fractal forum (crazy stuff i know).
I really like the Fractal Unit, a friend of mine as an Axe Fx II and it's a really cool device.
Personaly I just don't get their marketing strategy, beacuse like i said it's super contradictory. Just that. -
Deux it's two in french (hence the 2.00).
Im sure it sounds great, but...how many times have they said the emulation sounded 100% like the real counterparts?
Every new fw release they simply contradict themselves, that's what i can't understand.
-
Whatever is coming il bet it's going to be another great addition to the Kemper unit.
Each year that passes the unit get's better and better, just like a good wine
-
OK, I'm gonna buck the trend here and flat out state that I could care less about spring reverb. I much prefer using delay for my rigs anyway ...
Well, that's your personal case.
We can't speak for everyone when it comes to stuff like this, every guitarist has different needs. Some probably don't even use delays. The hard fact is that spring reverb is one of the most asked features since the Kemper unit was released.
I truly believe we will see this feature arrive to the kemper unit one day, until then we can't do anything more than wait(other than asking the feature of course).
-
I know, it´s not personal. But there are some threads every day where I could help out, but I´m not allowed to. That´s the game.
I had that problem too, then i bought a second Kemper and solved that problem

From Guitar World's interview of Annie Clark (St. Vincent):
I love Annie and her music, i didn't knew she was a Kemper user
