For anyone interested, added one more Coyote profile to the rig exchange. A bit cleaner and clearer from the last one. Went back to the 121/57 combo.
Let me know what you think.
thanks,
sean

waraba mainly changed location of where I placed everything, did this with a R121 and Neumann TL103 together, mic pre is a Chandler TG-2 with the summing option to mix both mics without needing a mixer. Changed cabs to an open back 2X12 as well. Other than that, mostly just being picky, monitored everything without going through the KPA first, then did the profiling process.
let me know how it sounds.
looking forward to doing this same process again with the Black flag and old Vox AC30 !!

Been working on the profiling process, and I think this is a big improvement for me. Now posted in the rig exchange.
Looking for any feedback and thoughts.
Coyote is a dual EL84 amp, edge of breakup and takes boost and overdrive pedals well.
thanks,

Chick,
The public betas are for users to load and test. It's a preview to the formal update that will soon follow. Gives the kemper team a chance to hear feedback and see if any bugs need to be ironed out.You load it the same way as any other update. Download it from the kemper site onto the USB stick, put it into the updates folder on the USB, plug it into the kemper and it should prompt you to load the new version.
You need a USB stick that is formatted by the kemper.
Hope this helps.

I'm sure many have already watched these a few hundred times! But when I start to feel overloaded with too many profiles to choose from, or think the factory sounds are not good, i always dial up these three videos.
Peter is obviously a great guitar player, but within minutes you can dial in these sounds from stock profiles on the KPA !! Instant inspiration and motivation for me. These are some of my favorite sounds.
The video also inspires one to woodshed a few hours each dayGreat work Peter and the KPA team.

Good set of self powered studio monitors sound great. Only downside is they are typically locked in your studio so not mobile.
To play out you need either something similar to the atomic, or in ears being fed from a mixing board, etc. or cab and amp.Any of these options will be a gift to your long term hearing

Same here for the ambient, pad effects. Play at church as well and the KPA has been a dream come true. I no longer get the request to turn down, point the cabs to the back or put them in a different room completely.
Each Sunday we cover a lot of ground and need a lot of sounds easily accessible. With IEMs, I've been blown away by the KPA.
Having ditched the time factor and pitch factor from Eventide, I long for some of those filtery, delay, crystal kind of things.

Is it not working at all, or does it come in at half or 2X what you are expecting?
On most if not all delay settings you should see the tempo light on the KPA panel flash in sync with what you tap in.
If that's not happening it sounds like a communication error between the GCP and the KPA.If its the issue around the right tempo, my guess is a switch setting on the GCP between momentary or latch.
Can you share more details on what you see?
Thanks -
I use logic and will check when I get back home Friday. My reamp experience has been good to date. What audio interface are you using on your DAW?
-
First off, I have never owned or even played through the AxeFX unit, but my main concern was getting something that feels like a real tube amp. I was pleasantly surprised by the KPA in that area, and the sounds are great as you already know. KPA interface is extremely easy to modify and adjust on the fly so two thumbs up in that area.
-
I just went throught the steps and got it working. I had to enable spidif under the input section of the KPA, that's the only other step that wasn't specifically laid out.
Thanks for the easy directions.

Yes, and like the idea of making it user selectable between these two options.

Do the number of rigs you have loaded impact the number of cabs you can import? It's well documented about the 1,000 rig limit, but do cabs, effects, etc count against some finite limitation somewhere?
Thanks

+1 its a great feature on the pitch factor. Opens up a whole new world of effects.
-
My main goal is consistency. I strive for that through my monitors at home which is my normal listening experience. That helps me stay consistent from profile to profile. Then as changes are needed from room to room you lock in a different output EQ or can lock in a different room verb. Those features I love about the KPA. Being able to lock in those changes on the KPA wthi a few pushes of the button is a Godsend. The rest I leave up to the FOH engineer.

Very cool! I've read that Pagganini was tapping on violin hundreds of years ago, but who knows where it really started.
Imagine if Pagganini, Bach, Mozart, Hendrix all were around with the KPA! Unreal I'm sure. -
Come on, that's not defeating GAS that's putting it off until a later date
Glad you're having fun with the new keys!!

And the winner is?
