Duncan thanks for the reply. I am going to experiment a bit more on this to see what happens.

Thanks for the replies - I mean the sound as I hear it in the room (not recorded) . I know the only difference should be the sound being louder but it does always seem less distorted the louder you go. In theory I suppose if my hearing is reacting differently at higher db's then a recorded sound at high vols should be the same? If the difference is down to the Fletcher Munson issue then is how do I compensate (and make it sound more like the lower vol sound)?

Out of curiosity, when you have say a crunch type sound and you play at lower volumes I find that it sounds it may appear have a good bit of distortion going on. If you wind up the volumes I hear that the distortion seems to be less? I know this happens with amps as well as the KPA. But I don't understand why? Can anyone explain what is happening?

I like a lot! Keep him onboard!

Thanks guys this will get me in the zone!

I want to test a few rigs at louder volumes - if anyone has KPA with DXR10 what are your monitor levels set at on the KPA and the DXR to get me in the right ballpark? I just want to get an average sort of level to work around. thx

Mind if I ask what we're your vol main output settings on KPA and dxr10 just for reference. I want to tweak some rigs at average gig levels.

You would think a simple "licenced" by arrangement would sort this out or endorsed by XYZ amps? Looking at the bigger picture you can see artist/band profiles or live tour profiles being available the same way. Dare I say it how about AXE FX effects under licence to Kemper!!!! Lol.

I use the DVP3 for wah alone. Here's how I did that. Not sure for wah and vol.
If you go to the wah stomp fx page you will see 3 pages - go to page 2 to see pedal mode. There you can select various option for when the fx is active. Go to the system option page 5 onwards to set up and calibrate the pedal use pedal mode 1. If using the remote then you can use pedal 3 or 4 for input using a TRS cable ( same for volume ). -

I would suspect the issue is within the profile itself. It could be the g string is a little louder than the others and just driving the profile too hard at some points. If you bring down dist sense a little I wonder if that may help?

Do you hear anything odd when playing acoustically? If there's a rattle or something loose it would be easier to hear. Also does it happen when using a clean profile?

Try thomann - I got a replacement for a Les Paul with them. Bear in mind there was a lot of choice on the exact type for direct replacement.

I had the same error when dragging and drop into RM with single and multiple profiles. Using latest RM and OS . Had to close down and restart RM to solve.

Thumps up to Scott's channel. I'll like the approach he's taking. A very good player too by the sound of it. I'd like to see the promo vid of his band.

Good idea.thanks Paults!

Say I have a rig in slot 1 but want to audition rigs for tone comparison - once I use the browse button how can I find the original rig again? I know I can always get the performance back as I have it saved, but for quick comparison what method do you use?

The Thomas Dill tutorial shows how to set cs and ds. It is important to use an appropriate profile when setting.I can definitely hear a volume difference in changing settings. I have a strat and a les Paul and use these feature to try and balance out the natural differences in the guitars outputs. The strat needs +7.5 clean sense.

+1 for big bends nut sauce. I have a 59 vos les Paul and the nut is a real dog. I replaced the nut on my previous Paul using a tusq pre cut and it worked well after a little filing. I wouldn't really recommend you do this unless you are confident. Try the lube on both the nut slots and at the bridge too first.

Sounds great! Was that a plexi profile?
