I use a M-audio Profire 610 which uses a fire wire connection to my computer. I love it works great.

I think having a volume pedal and an expression pedal ( eg wah wah) would be a great addition to the set up.

When I use a profile that has a gain setting that is more 5.4
and I hold a single note on the guitar I get something that sounds like a
gate or limiter turning on and off as the note diminishes. I noticed it
while playing with the head phone on. You really have to listen if
playing through cabs. It is like a scratch on your new car not very big
but looks huge every time you look at it. It is there on stock profiles
and also user profiles. It drives me mad. I have talked to Christoph
Kemper about this but he tried to blame it on the guitar. It happens on
all of my guitars PRS custom 22, Gibson Les Paul Classic, James Tyler
Variax, Hamer Artist. Has anyone had the same problem? Help -
Yah I finally figured that out but you would think saying "just use the type button" is bad instructions.
Thanks for your help

I must be blind and retarded. I have nothing on my type knob except " All Rigs, Current author, Favorites, last imported and my rigs. I have 2.0 installed and nothing. Do I have to install 1.8 first then 2.0?

Get yourself a James Tyler Variax guitar, I've got one and it has a great sitar sound amongst the 24 other awesome guitar profiles. Believe it or not it really does sound great, very versatile. I play it to get the sounds my Les Paul or PRS can not achieve. Look it up.

That would make me the happiest Kemper owner for sure. Might make me forget the nasty issue that I have.
-
I agree about the player makes the sound, keeping that in mind the Wizard amp has a distinct sound and bite that other amps have trouble replicating. I think a profile collection would be incomplete without a Wizard included. Trouble is it is such an expensive amp not a lot of people have them.

The Wizard amp is the one amp I love to have, does anyone know if there are any profiles out there. I can't seem to find any.
Thanks

I have noticed that on quite a few profiles with gain that the profile seams to pop into the next parameter and the levels between are not smooth. Am I the only one hearing this issue? For example Yano-5150-2 playing E on the G string I can here a popping (only way to describe it) as if a gate or compressor limiter is reacting to the decay of the note. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I have found it on quite a few gain driven profiles ( user submitted and Kemper supplied). I would like to know if my unit is defective or if the Kemper team knows of this issue and working to resolve it.
Thanks
