One major thing that's needed in an updated Kemper Version is an updated it loader. At the moment the Kemper strips away all timing information in an IR. That can be good thing if you cannot profile in a studio environment and have lots of room sound on the mic's but you loose some of the organic feel of good IRs. This could easily be an option.

Also the profiling could get a little update. It struggles with certain amps.

Also some signal chains with more than one cab would be nice.

IMO Physical controls are much better than the Touchscreen for quick adjustment to the gain etc

. Kemper offers a great editor unless a QC -> so save that money for something else ?

    Hi everybody,

many hours later the Octavarium Kemper Pack is completed! As always there are 3 Free Profiles available.

This is a free addon to our Diezel Einstein Kemper Profile Pack. The Sennheiser E935 is all over the Internet for being a secret weapon for metal lyrics but also for guitar cab micing. Since I have one of those in my drawer @ home I decided to create some IRs of my beloved Diezel Einstein Combo. They sound amazing! Since i already had my setup running i did the IRs with the sm57 and a Rhode NT1-A, too and wrapped all of them into a free IR pack. This is a nice addition to the existing Diezel Einstein Profiles.

    DOWNLOAD FREE IR Pack

These IRs work best in a designated IR loader. The Kemper can load these IRs as well. Keep in mind, that the Kemper will remove all time information from an IR so it looses some of the room/speaker vibe. This is one of the Kemper's strength and weaknesses at once. I'll do a video on this at some point in the future.

Ps: im waiting for some new dt profiles ☠️

    Lol

    Hi,

I'm pretty busy atm but I was so excited about the new Dream Theater album that i create a FREE Profile for the song Sleeping Giant anyways.

If you turn a knob does it become available?

Hi it seems that it only works if i turn physical knobs on the device itself.

Here's a short video clip. When changing parameters in the editor the option stays disabled. In the end i'm turning a knob on the device and the option becomes available.

    Hi everybody,

during the Covid-19 lockdown I've been playing guitar more than ever. I spend quite a lot time with my beloved Diezel Einstein 50W Combo amp. In this profile pack I tried to capture the heart of the Diezel Einstein Combo sound and extended the sonic range with Diezel 4x12 and Mesa 4x12 Oversize cabs.

I hope you enjoy this release since i put a lot off effort into it.

    Stefan

To me, switching cabs on studio profiles tend to bring along more than the cab itself- it carries a lot of the amps characteristics. Regardless, a cool experiment!

I feel the same way, too. If you listen to commercial profiles, even merged profiles. No cab sounds the same even if the amp is on the same settings. That makes me believe, that the seperation between amp an cab is far from perfect. But this is what makes the kemper a great tool. Mixing different sound's to achive new ones.

    Hey,

last weekend i found my very first guitar amplifier, a Fender Frontman Reverb (PR 241) in my old room at my parents house. Before thowing it away i thought i might profile it just for fun. It sounds terrible. After doing some research on the internet i figured, that the speaker in the amp is very bad and that it is supposed to sound a lot better with a different cab. Since i don't own many amps/cabinets anymore since i got the kemper i thought that the kemper makes it easy to swap cabinets and i came to think, that maybe the amp profile could sound even better than the real amp.

Here's a short video of my journey with A/B comparisions with different guitars and cabinets. ENJOY!

So can a Kemper sound better than a real amp? The answer is in the video :saint:

    Hey,

I recently played around with creating my own acoustic simulator (

) . This could work for your idea as well.

Let's say you own a Les Paul with a Humbucker and a Stratocaster with a single coil and want more beef on the bridge Pickup on you Strat.

    Suggested setup.

    1. Record the Same Chordprogression on both guitars (see video link above)
    2. Tonematch the Strat Signal to your Gibson signal.
    3. Then Put your DAW in the look when profiling your amp (like a Stomp Box EQ )
    4. Done

    Problems:

    1. If you want to apply this to an existing profile you would need two Kemper amps (one Amp profiling the other kemper)
    2. This method will result in a frequency adjustment of your Pickups in the input section. The dynamic behaviour will not be emulated so don't expect to get really close.
    3. This will only work acceptable if you use the same pickup position and the same Guitar (in this case a strat) other guitars will lead to different results.

Give it a try. It would be interesting to see what comes out.

    Hi,

i think I'm not the only one waiting for the acoustic simulator in the Kemper amp. I've been watching product demos of the Sim-1 Guitar Profiler and it seems that it is mostly a hardware based advanced match EQ. So what if i could bake this into the Kemper? Challange accepted. This is what came out after one lonly Corona evening. It's usable but far from perfect. Since i don't own great recording equipment you might get better results if you are a pro 8o

Look for ACO by the author Stefan in the Rig Exchange to try this profile for yourself.

ckemper How about a match EQ for Guitar Simulation in Slots A B C D ?

Thanks for the profiles. They are a great addition to my Einstein 50W Combo profiles. Combining the cabs sound great.

Lately i found a video by Michael Britt, explaining his micing and profiling method.I tried it on my Einstein a few days ago.
It sounds different but i like my old profiles better. Maybe i'm just used to it.anyways i've uploaded a new crunch version to the rig exchange called "EINSTEIN CRUNCH NEW" (04-18-2016) by Stefan

I might make some more profiles (clean, chanel 3, lead) using the "Britt method" but my Amp is acting crazy lately.
I'll guess i should get it somewhere to be checked by an expert.

Here are some pics from the profiling session and my beloved kemper in a live situation.
