I agree it would be cool if the amp slot simply would stay empty in such a cab only mode.
But you can just profile a clean poweramp with your cab and then take that cab for other profiles.
But if you use deconvolver too then use either a 441khz 60 sec sweep ot use r8b to covnert it to 44.1kHz
then use kemper cab maker and you have basically a cab only profile

I truncated Bass cab IRs and Guitar cab IRs on close mics. I would say bright guitar cabs are cool at even 1024samples when they are close miced. Even small rooms work okayish. Right now i experiment with stereo IRs and Stereo Room micing ... on rooms either a offset or a IR file without minimum phase transformation, so, with the natural predelay are ultra important. I made IRs in a church too and soon i can show you some blind tests about truncated and not truncated files and so on ...
Overall i think longer IRs and more at once sound fantastic, i hope the kemper guys listen to us, it is simply sooo important

I love the hx stomp and as a kemper user is would of course love to see a mini version, i bet it is possible,

A little addition, my free profiles are mostly untweaked, that is like the downside fo freebies. So mess around with them! The right cab is ultra important AND if you checked out my newest addition, you need to add some effects.
IMPORTANT:
On Fuzz profiles or the newest one "BUZZSAW" add a rectishaper and or soft and hard shapers in fron of the amp section or until firmware 3.3. even after the amp section. this will bring back the crazy sounds of your FUZZ or HM2
I added two new profiles "BUZZSAW NASTY" with these exact effects so you can check that out
and here is a sound sample

Ahh... thank you for the explanation, Thomas.
Yes, Mattias is inspiring, and very funny IMHO.
Unfortunately he conducts those camps in the EU (and at least one I remember in Russia), but if he ever holds one down here in Australia, I'll go for sure. It'd be worth it for the laughs alone, let alone the knowledge gained.
true! but it is worth a EU trip imo i laready met people from the us, canada, india, russia and so on there so ... instead of holidays tat might be an option

Bommel I stumbled upon your Fanda 57 in the rig exchange a couple weeks back and was pretty impressed. But the VV66 is just shockingly good. Rich but defined, bright but smooth, thumpy with no mud, and sounds good by itself or with stomps/effects. Thank you so much for making it!
And those are the only two I've tried so far!
Thank you very for writing me a feedback! I am very happy you found something you like
-
Thanks for sharing here Bommel - highly appreciated as always with your work! Will try them later
Thank you very much man! I do my very best

Are fans of swedish metal here ?
try this one! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/roc…sneJgqD3EbpfQtxgKF0a?dl=0
I have to admit on this one the kemper struggled to get it right. The Boss HM2 simply sounds too crazy.
So the profiles are only somewhat close but still fat and suprisingly great for bass ...

How the Hell did you get Mattias to play for you, Thomas? I've always loved his playing, so this is a big deal to me. Well done!
Interesting, distinctive vibe you've created throughout the piece, man. Again, well done!
Hey i don't know! But i am super happy that it worked out. I was 3 times at his Freak Guitar camp, which is the best thing you can do as a guitarist honestly, and luckily he remembered me
A bit more:
About the Freak Guitar Camp, if you was not there, for me it is the Mekka haha. You simply have to go there once or twiceat least. Mattias view on music will inspire you for years and he has such a unique style that there is simply no other way to go to him if you are into Harmonics, fancy rhythms and so on ... plus i met so many cool people there, it was a lifechanger in some way.
Oh and who do i have to thank for this? 1.My gear addiction and 2. Laney. I was always looking for new amps and then Laney shared the Freak Kitchen song "speak when spoken too" were Mattias played this incredible VH100R amp ... and this was the beginning of everything.
Really cool cover of a great song, super heavy! Love it.
Thanks so much man.

I just want to say, your bass patches are incredible. I use the Doommachine and Sans Amp stuff on almost every album I produce. That being said if you could get your hands on a Verelin Meatsmoke I would love to see a profile of one of those. Thanks for your work.
Thanks a lot man I'm glad you like them, I keep my eyes open of one
Bommel knows Bass!
Thank you very much man

After all you have done for us - is there an amp that YOU would love to profile? I'm sure we will be happy with whatever you choose
Thanks a lot Paults well i would love to have a DAR amp, a Blockletter 5150, a Laney vh 100 and a super group, a matamp a supro there are so many more but if i rent one it would make sense that you guys would like to try these amps too otherwise the profiles to not get that much use
Bonamassa high powered twin ??
Appreciate all you’ve done to dateThanks so much i keep my eyes open for one.

I discovered this gold mine today.
Thank you very much brother!!!
Hey thanks a lot man i do my very best to offer more amps and cabs in the future. I hope you find something you like.
To all other users:
Is there a amp you would love to have profiled, or is there constructive feedbac how i could improve the profiles?
I am open to your opinion guys!

AJ Q - DAR Tuzzia
... the only DAR amp in rig exchange i think and it is ultra tight. It does not work without well without a cab, and the cab on the profile is also not that cool BUT change the cab of it and it is still the tightest profile i ever tried on the kemper so far...
