Hey Guys! It's been a while, i know, but i don't want the thread to be forgotten. Do you think this would be a worthy for a sticky thread?
DonPetersen @G String ? It is a big collection and i think and i would be very happy about it.

I hope this .gif works. I shows the Noon and the tweaked version of this amp profile without a cab
-
FWIW, 'noon' doesn't really mean anything, since depending on what kind of tone stack the amp manufacturer is using it can have all kinds of different effects on the sound.
Duncan's Tone Stack Calculator demonstrates this very well. http://www.duncanamps.com/tsc/But your Profiles are indeed great, I'm not complaining
Yeah i know, you're right! Noon does not mean "linear"...
The "noon" position was for me just a way to add a profile that is not colored by my taste or cab choice. Do you know what i mean? If i do D.I. profiles i tweak the amp to sound good on my Cab/IR and with my playing and guitar. To have a "blank canvas" i thought putting everything on noon could be an option.
But i am open for recommendations! I know the "noon" idea is flawed but seemed to be the only way to add a "common starting point" because noon is often just like that for amp builders, a starting point. For example, while the Graphs look pretty extreme on the tone stack calculator, if you measure the amp output without a cab, harmonics and masking in general will smooth that out. I added the picture of one of my "noon" profiles, of the Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister to be exact.
It would be ultra cool if the EQ section of the kemper not only had "pre" or "post" but also the tonestacks or parametric modes imo.

Gain, Bass, Mid & Treble. If each go to 1-10, then there are 9999 combinations at exact numerical positions.
I think the most important thing is Gain and Mastervolume each on 3 relevant positions clean right before saturation sets in, right before full distortion sets in and max gain doing this on gain mastervolume means 9 profiles with the most important settings. EQ is a thing that is okay to go at noon and a setting that fits to your cab and guitar. Sure a amp will react differently when you feed it with more or less bass but i think this is well covered with the 9 settings. It is possible to fake the other effekts then with external or internal settings/pedals. This is at least my opinion and i am pretty happy with the profiles i did that way.

Bommel : I have actually already tried most of your profiles. They are among the bests imo! I may actually chose one of them for my studio tone. So thank you so much for giving all of these profiles for free! It's greatly appreciated.Btw: I tend to think more and more that "everything at noon" is the best setting for an amp Maybe slight adjustments here and there but if you dont like the sound of the amp with everything at noon, then the amp is not for you.
Hey thanks so much man, i am really glad you like them. I just like to add that the cab choice is ultra important, bassier speakers like the g12k 100 maybe need less lows than other speakers or cabs. But i know what you mean, an Amp should sound great when you turn it on and the eq should only be there to make it fit more to your guitar and cab. But there are many factors why this is sometimes not possible. Imagine you singlecoil pickups have a honky spot at 800Hz now you try to remove it with you EQ but the mids knob on the amp is set at 500hz ... That is why i always wish all amps had two full parametric bands lows and highs that would really make amps so much versatile and simply better sounding. Right now i have a multiband compressor on my pedal board and in recording situations a full parametric 10-band rack eq in the effectsloop. I say this because this also works great for the kemper, a eq pedal or multiband EQ in front of the kemper can work wonders and can give you back much versitality. The same profile will behave differently if you hit is with more 120hz (that works great) or with more 300 -500 hz and also with a more compressed signal.

Hello to the Kemper team,
Do you think it will ever be possible to fully profile an amplifier?
Let me explain: If we consider that one profile is the equivalent of a picture of an amp on a particular setting, could we imagine to make a video of this amp with all the possible settings?
The reason I ask is that I have lost countless hours in trying thousands of profile to NEVER find what I was looking for. And yes I tried to tweak, add EQs, changing cabs etc... and it doesn't react at all like the amplifier would have done if I had turned the knobs on it.
It is SO frustrating to always have to deal with settings done by someone else.
Do you think you could invent a protocole that would allow the KPA to make complete profiles? Perhaps something where the user would have to progressively turn all the knobs of the amp so the KPA would analyse how the amp reacts? That would be so great...
Thanks for reading me!
Well after all profiles are snapshots and amps are drasically different with different master volume setting and so on.
This is why i make D.I. profiles with all relevant gain and mastervolume setting. Still the EQ is a factor that i do not cover that much that comes down to my taste and cab but i include often a "noon" version ...
So give it a try if you like to, they should cover the whole amp well. Look for Bommel in Rig Exchange.
But i know your frustration that is why i had to made so many profiles. capturing every knob and so would be ultra cool. IT would be enough if ther are more eqs gain knobs and mastervolume setting inside the kemper modeled after the most important amps ... that way everything could stay the same but especially the poweramp sim would save a lot of time

I made some profiles of the tc bodyrez and the Audio sprockets Tone Dexter ... but the best way to get a decent sound is with a selfmade ir or a selfmade tone dexter profile, then it fits perfectly to you guitar.
To to the IR your self you need a Match eq software, voxengo deconvolver, the kemper cabmaker, and a good mic.
Record you piezo signal and your miced guitar (Play bar chords on every fret so you have no gaps in the wave form later)
and match eq the piezo signal to the mic signal with izotope ozone. Now create a 60second sweep with voxengo deconvolver an load it into you daw the the track where the matcheq is. Export it convert it to a IR and then to a KIPR file with the Kemper cab maker... IMO this is the best way to correct the rather plasticy sound of piezo pickups. The fast way is of course: Buy a Tonedexter and profile the wavemap and enjoy it on the kemper together with the effects and looper and so on. The Tone Dexter does basically the same and works wonders imo.

Maybe CK could just make an external pedal that profiles stomp boxes. Then just put it in one of the loops.
A mini Kemper just for pedals if you will.
that would be amazing! Something like the mooer preamp live thingy but from kemper that would be cool too.

All your rigs still work
They can still be imported into Rig Manager or loaded via USB drive.
Last week when I imported 10 free profiles with RM 2.3.11 or .12 (can’t remember which) the import didn’t recognize the .krig file extension.
Today after updating to RM 2.3.13 the import looks for both .kipr and .krig.
So it seems as from this version of RM both file formats are valid.
Oh man what a relief i already saw myself renaming 1400 profiles thanks for the reply guys

I made a little update.
I also wanted to shre the gear i use just as a help.
Torpedo Live
Alesis PEQ 450 (totally underrated 10 bands of fullparametric bands, that is amazing to eq the amp before profiling, it works great in the effects loop and after the mic or cab loader)
AMT Pangaea
Behringer GI100 Ultra-G
when using the old d.i. boxes i use a real isocab as a load

Thank even more generous of you!
And since you offer, is there a clean sound that can get me in the same area as Chris Rea's guitar sound on Road to Hell pt.2?Cheers,
Mats N
hmm you could try the Fender Bassman profiles i made, you just have find a fitting cab ... also the cleans of the engl invader are very brilliant and nice with strats (even though it is a amp mainly for metal stuff) i#ll check out if i can find the soloed guitar tracks then i could make you a IR that fits

Hi Bommel!
I have just downloaded your profiles and have not yet tried any of them.
But I already feel I own you thanks for this enormous effort for the betterment of our little community.
Cheers,
Mats N
Thanks so much man, i hope you find something you like. Since there are so many it is not easy findin the right ton immediatly, so let me know what you are looking for maybe i can help.
