Locking is key...

You‘re welcome.

So you are using 9db of pre amp gain on the SQ5 for the Kemper?
Yes. correct.
-
Cabinet was off. With the Cabinet on I get WAY BETTER tone. It was lifeless and brittle before.
Seems like now you can start your rehersal...
-
I was wondering about this. How do I turn the cabinet on? Can I make adjustments to the cabinet once I have it on and how would I do this? Sorry, total noob in a tight spot right now. Appreciate your help.
Is the cabiet LED glowing? If not: Cab module is deactivated. Since I don't know if you did a lot of tweaking to your sound you might want to check with a standard Kemper rig if there may be an issue.
-
Are you saying Kemper at 9db output or you have the gain on the SQ5 input at 9db?
These are the settings of the sq-5. Kemper is -12 dB ticked and something about -18 dB level (as far as I remember). The output of the Kemper is quite hot...
-
I have no Kemper Kabinet so I cannot speak about that. But if it souns like "cabless" on the main out: Is the cab Module active and is there a cabinet selected?
-
No pad active and input @ 9 db. Kemper output level???
So what exactly is the issue with your sound?
-
Is the signal clipping the input of the sq-5? I have the -12 db checked. No issues with my Rack into SQ-5 (actually going stereo).

There is an older thread about that topic...
