Ok, I've never been a real fan of Mesa amps but this profile is excellent! It is incredibly thick and full (yet clear) even with a strat on the bridge p/u. Very dynamic & just huge sounding. I don't say this about a lot of the free profiles but this one hangs with any on my box. I put it up there with the famous Morgan AC20 in terms of quality (& we all know what a compliment that is)!

Just got them also & some nice ones in there- I agree a little more info would be helpful- were there different mics & tone settings aside from the gain levels?

Gigged mine Friday night again. Killer sound & worked flawlessly. Very experienced guitar player came up, looked at the KPA & asked if it had tubes in it!

Try the cabs you didn't like on other amps - i get the feeling that there's more than just EQ in the KPA's cab section.
Some of the cabs i've made sound terribly bassy on some amps and perfect for others, while a different cab might sound perfect on both.Remember that the KPA doesn't fully separate the cab from the amp. I've become less of a fan of switching out cabs on profiles. On most that I've done it with, I can still hear some of the original amp in there if that makes any sense. Sometimes it's a good thing but I guess the purist in me likes an original profile of the amp & cab better.

Yes everything else is working. It seems to be a very intermittent problem. One minute neither FS3 or FS4 work then they do. When they don't, I notice the foot switch isn't toggling off the stomp box on the HD500 so I'm starting to think its a hardware issue.
I gigged it NY Eve and was able to work around it but very weird. Thx!

After upgrading to newest firmware my Midi controller isn't triggering the X slot at all. I have my patches set to CC#22 but nothing- sucks because it's my boost & have a gig soon! Switched it to CC#23 & still no luck.
I'm noticing that the HD500 isn't toggling the corresponding stomp like it should so thinking bug could be there? Sucks because it worked flawlessly before- thanks for any help!

HD500- I know my way around it decently- thx!

CC23 not triggering it either

I've been using these for 6 months & gig them- still think this is the best Plexi, especially since you can match the many profiles to whatever guitar you are using!

OK- did the update & everything OK except it must have changed all my wah settings so that the wah is on and engaged (wondered why my rigs sounded weird all of a sudden!). I had it set to on and to activate only when I touched pedal. I'm sure it's an EZ fix- anybody have this issue?

Got em, love em! Awesome job Pete- these may be my favorites of all yours! I was afraid there wouldn't be enough low end like in some of other tone matched profiles I've heard but these are great!
Curious what mic you used the most for these?

Just revisited this rig and it really is awesome- even a LP sounds good with the coils split.

Finally got to these. Once again, awesome Tim. I owned 2 QRs and didn't use 3rd a lot but found what I needed in here. I like the ones with the i5 up to about 14 on the gain- after that it's too much for this old guy- thanks so much!

I'm liking the i5 a lot also (Tim's profiles put me on to it). This Superlux is a decent inexpensive mic & pretty forgiving.

Love it! Makes me wanna buy a strat & I'm a LP guy!

I think you'd like the Port City- biggest 1x12 I've heard. I'm still working on my profiling skills & hopefully will get some up this weekend of my Chupacabra & '72 Marshall 50 watt. I wasn't happy with the first batch after hearing yours! You've definitely given a lot back with the DS & QR- thanks so much!
-
Interesting Tim- thanks so much for your work on these- you're making me buy an i5

No doubt- his early tone had a lot of presence & high mids. I've been playin 35 years, have a broken neck and back- all I can say is thank you for the KPA & allowing me to gig without carrying my amps Mr. kemper!

Thanks Tim- I have the same speaker in my Port City 1x12 so I'll give that a try. It is certainly working for you!
