I asked a friend about this last week. He said they're really dark sounding profiles. Of course you can brighten them up with some EQ but they're not sharp at all. Not a bad thing really.
The other thing I've heard from someone else is that they're all through the same Cab, so you can get a lot out switching cabs as well as amps.
Haven't heard them myself

Has anybody heard of this happening? Just updated a friends kemper (he was on a version previous to 1.8.2). Updated to 1.8.2 as it stated to do and he's lost everything.

This is something I'd love to have. It'd be fairly complex but in theory if you captured an amp setup with knobs all set to 12 o'clock, and then profiled the amp with treble up, then bass up, mid up surely some information could be taken from this?
Even if there were two or 3 different profiles taken with slightly different amp setting and the user could morph between them it would give a bit more flexibility to those of us without amps to tweak and then profile.
Wouldn't bother me if this never happened or it was a ridiculous idea but I love the concept of the kemper growing in it's ability -
Latest update, I sent off the Kemper and it came back a few weeks later all fixed up. Happy Customer

I've contacted support now so I'll keep this thread updated. Hopefully there's a solution to this, but it seems something isn't happy about my Kemper.

It's booting up and otherwise working fine. The issue I have seems to be that when I put it on "SPDIF Input Reamp" it still selects the front input. I just don't recall it ever doing that? If somebody could check that on theirs I'd be thankful of that.
I'll try switching the wires again now

Hi,
I've been using my Kemper for years and everything (apart from half the LED's dying) worked fine up until today.
I've just turned it on to do some reamping using the SPDIF in and it isn't working. I've tested cables and actually found that for some reason it's not even recognizing I'm setting it to SPDIF input. I can plug a guitar in the front and happily play guitar on "Front Input", "Alternative Input" and "SPDIF Input Reamp". "Return Input Reamp" does bypass the front input.
Any ideas?
I've troubleshooted everything else. Signal is outputted, changed cables etc. I've isolated this to the kemper.
LATEST:
I've flashed to the latest firmware again and I got a worrying "communication with DSP board failure" -
I believe I've found the issue. I hit the ground lift there was a small hum that I hadn't picked up on. I think it was causing interference. Thank you for your help. Just tried again and it's much, much closer

I'm trying to profile my 5150 through a 5150 cab with an SM57 and an MD421.
The tone I have I'm quite happy with. It's the first part of the clip above. The second part is what my profiler comes up with as the profiled amp tone.
I'm a loss as to what to do here. I've tried just using the SM57 and doing away with the summed microphones and I get the same thing.

Hi all!
I've had my Kemper for over a year now and it's absolutely fantastic. The only issue I have has been going on for around 6 months now. The "Browse" knob doesn't seem to work properly.
I turn it and it just doesn't consistently move through the rigs. It sometimes doesn't move at all.
Anyone else with this problem?

Just given that a go. Extracted the profile then re-imported it. It get no sound out of it I'm afraid.

Thanks so much! I'll check that out right now

I LOVE the sound of the patch that is used when the Kemper is still turning on. I've tried to find out what the patch is, but i cannot find it. It's perfect for what I'm working on currently.
Can anybody help?!
Thanks!

I've had the same issues with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40...
I've just fixed it by setting the sync source to "SPDIF". No clicks anymore. Might work for you too.
