From the other end of the planet............ Welcome to a great life Rob

I am at the "bedroom thrasher " stage now ( as well?) and play through a 4 by 10 Laney cab and the difference between that and headphones ( with all the tweaks and the cab off etc) is really noticeable to my faded ears I don`t play loud but when I do it certainly beefs up the sound as Elvis the Awesome pointed out. Maybe before getting away from the Kemper perhaps see if you can borrow a cab (if you don`t have one) and give it a whirl. You might be surprised. Just remember that turning the cab off might help as well. After three years it would be a pity and to get it back might not be as easy as when you bought it. Just a thought..............

I truly think a better solution would be to have the strap say... 3/4 of the width of the sides at the sides and tapered to the original width at the carrying handle part on the top. The sides then can be attached perhaps with 2 studs side by side . I have the sinking feeling of it toppling over whenever I carry it around. The "wobble" would be less if this was done I imagine.

When the leather is at the "brittle" stage and is beginning to crack or the surface separate, I would say its almost beyond repair. What happens is that the cells that were filled with fat liquors and waxes in the tanning process have all but gone. That`s why its always a good idea over time to replenish the leather with a leather oil or equivalent. This especially pertains to vegetable tanned leather. Like the Toaster`s handle ( it appears veg tanned) ............. although with this as it would possibly be many moons before it needed restoration due to its lack of use ( picking up etc) I would say it should outlast most people. Not 100% sure if the toaster has a vegetable tanned or chrome tanned handle. Chrome would certainly last longer. Just my bit. Back to making toast now!

Ive worked in leather for 40 years and judging by the thickness and close grain of the strap, one would have to seriously abuse it to have it break. Just dont try to swing it like Yngwie

Welcome John. As you will see....... its a game changer!!

Probably because of the cost...................... , the reason Brain May and The Reverend Billy use coins .......

I have eventually ( always say that ...... but anyway for now...) found heaven! These odd shaped picks just do what people say they do in my opinion. And having been around for so many years I've had the opportunity to accumulate a lot of picks! These just arrived ( 1 1/2 months from the USA to Cape Town ) and I truly think so far they are the best I've tried. 2.5 mm but that shouldn't terrify anyone cause they really don`t feel that thick. They just seem faster than what I've tried before. Check them out someday . maybe you'll agree..

Good job. Thank you.

Yep! Bad eyes and Sore fingers . If you have to lean over ( as I do) it really becomes a mission to adjust the knobs for a long time while trying to get "the tone" Agreed Rook!

Waiting for Dragon`s Heart picks to arrive. I somehow always seem to blame it on the pick ........ and as profiles... I have accumulated trillions. But I know its me playing really .I have found Primetone 3mm as used by Chris Brooks to be a step up from Stuubies. Less chirp on the high gain. But of course only IMHO
