Pro-tools is a somewhat larger company than Kemper.
For reference, I'll use amp and guitar builders like suhr and tom anderson who are both available via forums and post on them as well as always ready to answer an email or even a phone call. Service has reached a wonderful level as it should.
I bought my KPA partially because the expandability and promise of future software developments and updates including editors and foot controllers.
I won't argue it's merits with you though, I still get blown away at the many great features my KPA presents, just sayin stay open to criticism as well. It's all part of the process. -
Yeah the fact that CK himself comes on here to read what people have posted as well as answering questions etc i think is great. Ive never known any product ive ever owned to have the actual person who created the product be customer involved let alone post things on forums. This shows CK's dedication to the product
I laugh at some of this. A lot of assumptions being made. There are plenty of product developers/builders that are accessible who also post on forums. In fact I would find it odd if they didn't. It is in CK's best interest to have a presence here and provide some insight to the KPA.
Part of having a forum and open communication is so owners can voice their opinions, there are plenty of positive comments made here and I find it strange when people get up in arms when somebody criticizes something. Drop the fanboyism, it's not perfect and realize that not every single move made by Kemper is going to be good or well received. IMO Kemper is moving pretty slow on a lot of follow ups to the KPA. I love mine but it's not perfect, great but not perfect. -
Glad they are making progress in this direction but IMO this falls woefully short.
I love my KPA and hope they get an editor and foot controller sooner rather than later. I'm not sure I understand why this takes so long. The KPA has been out for some time. -

I haven't noticed a problem playing at apartment/bedroom levels. One of the main advantages to using the Kemper I think is that turning down the volume doesn't compromise the amp tone any where near as severely as it does with a tube amp. No tubes to swap out every year either.
Try getting any feedback at lower levels. I find it's much cleaner sounding at lower levels. Still a nice sound but reacts differently to my playing than at loud levels. Just like a tube amp actually.

Do yourself a favour and don't use the EQ of the STACK section but the Monitor Output EQ in the OUTPUT menu (page 3/5). This way your beautiful rigs can go untouched to FOH and recording. And btw, you know that you can save Output Presets? This way it's very easy to switch your Monitor EQ once you have made a few presets.
Good point and yes that is where I am making my adjustments. Unfortunately I find myself adjusting a LOT at rehearsal to get my volume and mix to sound right. It's a constant struggle actually and I'm growing weary of having to do that.

Look it up here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fletcher-Munson_curvesThanks Ingolf,
Looked at that and did a major Wonder if its in layman's terms anywhere? Or better yet if anybody has actually created a downloadable EQ patch? -

Just like my tube amps, my KPA shines best when louder. In fact I play louder in my little studio than I do at rehearsal.
This presents a problem for me as when I bring the volume down on the KPA it cleans up all my presets.
While still driven, my profiles sound different at these lower volumes and sometimes it sucks the inspiration out of me.Any tips on getting my KPA to sound the same at loud or quiet volumes? Thanks!

This is the first time I've seen this thread and the video with the bassman.
That is the holy grail of tone right there IMO and same with the gear.
It's great that KPA users can set their sites on something so lofty and amazing. We keep pushing the envelope. -
Its interesting, profiles that sounded good with my Yamaha DXR speakers or headphones do not sound so good with the CLR. I know that's an eq issue as the CLR sounds really amazing but am finding that I need to go through and listen to all my profiles again and find the ones I like best with the CLR.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's much louder now and I'm trying to dial it in at live volumes. Will have it at rehearsal on Wednesday and tweak it some more. Gigs the next two coming weekends.

Hi,
I just got my CLR and am thrilled. Been stuck with headphones for quite a while and first thing I notice going into the CLR is my effects are much more present and I will have to dial them back. I also am hearing more highs (some kind of harsh) which I am working on dialing back on my performances. I'm having to eq everything differently now.Any tips on how to optimize my rigs with the CLR?
What are you using to dial in your tones, I know there are so many ways to affect the eq including inside the amp or the cab.Either way I am very happy to finally have my CLR!
Thanks

I hear a lot of compression going there.
I'm getting in that range of sound, and it can be tweaked to sound pretty darned close with the TAF Supro profile. That's the beauty of the KPA, we have so many ways to duplicate a tone we like.

I just noticed, these download as MPEG files so my KPA wont recognize it. Any thoughts on how to get these to work?
I realize I once had these downloaded but cleared out my rig when I did the Maurizio upload and cant find these anymore and for whatever reason they wont load up this time arouns.
