aaah thanks for that Paul ..phew !!! so if I move to a different computer in the future if I have 'backed up ' rig manager content to a stick or seperate drive ..all will be well ?
Hi All ..so in a moment of absent mindedness I appear to have deleted ( even from the recycle bin) my folder containing all my purchased and downloaded profiles I had these on a drive labelled D:Software ( separate to my C:System Drive ) now ...obviously this is gut wrenching but ..upon re-opening my Rig Manager ..all profiles (all 41,737 of them ...I Know I know ) appear to still be available ..I always thought that they were kept in my D:Software folder but ..? If I back up the rig manager content will this mean that I have managed to at least keep a hold of the profiles that I have categorised etc if not the actual downloaded Zip files ? and thus still have access to all my profiles ???
Thanks for any help and advice
and a quick google suggests that the Max is based on a Fender Champ of which there are many in profile land
Can’t say I’ve heard of it ..but my harmonica playing mate was blown away by how quick I got him an awesome sound using an old Bassman with a tape echo and a spring reverb
Bert M’s acoustic pack ..I also use a Live Ready Sound profile a lot ..I have an LR Baggs Anthem system fitted to a Sigma J200 style acoustic
I have to say that some of the sounds inthe Amplitube Brian May software are the closest I’ve heard/played..
Yup big up for Tim and Dan
I saw the cover of a Status Quo album called ‘The golden hour’ ...this plus hearing a local band at school playing ‘Strong Arm of The Law’ by Saxon ...
I was doing relatively well at school until that day hahaha...
what guitar/guitars are you playing on these 2 tracks
I can help here ...all the guitar parts were played on my Brian Eastwood gold top custom guitar fitted with Creamery ‘59 Pafs (with A5 magnets..)
It’s not but I have seen Tim offer this before and I ‘think’ Tone Junkie might have a demo pack ...have you listened to the soundclip demis on each vendors site ? that would be a good starting point ..
Hey Yoav,
As You say it is a really personal thing and for me I just liked the LRS ones better it felt and sounded more like I was playing a mic’ed amp in a room maybe slightly less top end (?) .why not reach out to Tim at LRS and ask for a couple of samples ? Maybe Dan at Reampzone and HW at Tone Junkie would do the same they ALL make great profiles so it would be better for you to try if possible
Top Jimi ..M Britt..Bert M ...Golden Lion ...Sinmix also do packs of the Jubilee ...it really depends on what you look for in a profile
I have all 3 ...my personal favourite is the LRS pack it just has a but more ‘amp and cab’ sound about it listen to clips on all three vendors sites and decide for yourself ...they’re all decent ..in all honesty I was never keen on the real thing as an amp
Yes this would be a great addition
I’d get something custom built by a luthier ...and play it forevermore...
Or buy something with a name so you can get your money back when you sell it ...?
Yes definitely enjoy and have been influenced by the odd bit of Ozrics over the years I was planning on going to see them ...and then
How are you digging the VSX, Ally? Ive had the Waves Nx thingy with head tracker for a few years, but don't really use it. I also had the Focusrite VRM box back in the day.
Sam it has changed my mixes as much as the kemper did ...honestly ...I hardly use my monitors anymore ...takes a little while to get used to but my mixes are faster and more consistent now and translate well ...
Interstingly it has also made me appreciate profiles in a different way hearing them more accurately..
And .....I can hear all of this on any computer system anywhere ..seriously impressed
Slate VSX
Endless profiles
Various plugins/soft synths
I think a lot of people use Darkglass ..Ampeg ?
I’m liking the new STL bass pack ...
