Killer work, Jim!
Thank you whippingpost!
And yes Mats, definitely a compliment - although I guess using the phrase does date me as the old fogey I am.
Thanks for the compliment Mats - particularly coming from one cool cucumber as yourself!
Thank you, Nicky & Hafi19!
Thank you, sstauffer! All Tonejunkie's stuff...
Dig your Roth quote as well! Ah, better days...
Hello everybody, hope you all are doing well out there! Band's got another one out today, thanks for listening!
Thank you, whippingpost!
Thanks for listening everyone, happy you dig! Sykes is one of my (many) all-time favorites for sure! Hope he releases something new soon...
Mutli-tracked, overdubs, didn't track it all the way thru at once, so sorry made no video musicmad. Used to play that one live in a couple of band back in the day, maybe I have some old video of that. Will check...
I had so much fun trying to play along with a backing track I found online of the fantastic John Sykes' fueled Whitesnake powerhouse "Still Of The Night" that I thought I'd post it here, if that's cool...
Big Hairy Profiles providing the heavy action, Live Play Rock for the clean stratty stuff! What a barn burning blast that was to take a whack at!
Thanks for listening!
Thank you everyone for listening and for the kind words, greatly appreciated!
They could get pretty crazy - when we could still gig, Muddy Sludge!
Thank you Nicky, glad you dig it!
Hey all! Band's got another one out today, thanks for checking it out!
Thank you, AFreak!
Thank you, hafi19!
Thank you everyone, best of the new year to you all!
Thanks for checking it out gentlemen! I appreciate the replies! I do love the Purple, regardless the incarnation of the band...
My attempt at covering the fantastic "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple. I must have asked 15 different people to have a go at recording the vocals, no takers! So I did some research and managed to extract Ian Gillan's vocals using the killer "Transcribe+" iOS app, and fly them in with my guitar, bass, keys, and drum tracks using PreSonus Studio One. Did the keys using my guitar and another badass iOS app "Midi Guitar 2". This app is mind-blowing. Makes it possible to use a guitar to trigger any iOS synth. Sequenced the drums using Toontrack's EZ Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3. Recorded the guitars and bass using the Kemper. Made the video on an iPad with LumaFusion.
Thanks for listening, and Happy New Year!
