Oh wait. Ingolf's not dead. Must have been an evil long lost twin or doppelganger \m/
Thanks for the positive thoughts, Hannes_ITS

Welcome to the forums!

On the flip side, think what would happen if some manufacturer says, "No, my amp sound is copyrighted."
I predict loads of bootlegs.

Yeah, we need the mods to open more sub-forums, like a Coffee Shop where we can talk crap.
This latency bug doesn't seem common enough to add to the list too. I'm just hoping that some of the more common complaints are resolved first before new updates introduce new ones, lol.

4 GB is ideal. Profiles are small, just a few kb. You could keep thousands of them, but the major problem would come in restoring just the ones you want to the Kemper.

Hurts when the shoe is on the other foot. Piracy is bad, no matter what form. It's theft, as suggested in the OP, pure and simple.
The number of hits on that link is not surprising. People choose to look the other way when they can get ahead by stealing "legitimately".
I don't think there's much of a case for an intellectual property theft here. They're after all profiles of an existing amplifier. More of a moral issue, methinks.
As Stevoe suggested, don't have pirated movies or MP3s on your hard disks if you think ripping off commercial profiles is bad. It's hypocritical.
Communism on the internet, ugh.

My Boss GT-8 lasted for 8 years and I sold it a while ago. Still ticking, not even a battery change.
I'm still within six months of my Kemper purchase and hope it will last me as long and serve me as well.
Jokes apart, what Ingolf said is right. Mr CK ain't no Carlos the Jackal, haha
"Everybody can relax, Christophe Kemper is here"

Hahaha, poor Metallica being torn apart by one-time fans.
Ten to one, they'll snub you when you explain your reasons for the gift. In which case, give it to me, I could use another

Break down and buy a metronome? Or just use one of the free metronomes available on the net.

My download list for tonight... Thanks, Don!

The future!

At present, you can only use your FX prior to the delay and reverb slots. With any luck, when the option to place delay and reverb anywhere in the signal chain comes through, you'll be able to do it your way.

Wow. The value of my investment has appreciated. I'm happy. Sad in some ways for guys that have to pay more to experience the Kemper goodness.
I did a head-to-head shoot out of the Kemper vs Axe FX before I bought. With shipping and taxes, I was getting them both for about the same price. Tone won in the end.

To be honest, I saw the Metallica + Lang Lang video and think that the mixing was the issue. Too much bass, guitars too low, piano drowned out for the most part.
It actually sounded pretty good to me, from the perspective of a guy that's spent his whole life listening to old albums where the mixing wasn't always up to today's "brutal" standards. Playing wasn't too shabby either. More of a mix thing, couldn't hear any differentiation between instruments.
That said, I'm pretty sure it would have sounded better with a Kemper. I'm a non-visiting TGP user and I think they have a problem with keeping things honest and real. Like a big gang of thugs, in some ways, but a bunch of poofs in others.
Some guys are nice on those forums though. Don't brush them all over in the same paint stroke.

Rafal, the Kemper will be phased out in the next two years. Mr CK is a well-known fly-by-night operator. As soon as the orders for new Kempers and footcontrollers stop flowing in, Mr CK (aka The Jackal) will shut the doors on his nefarious operation and disappear without a trace with your cash.

That's so
Oops, you edited, nakedzen. How foolish I feel now -
You can save the input settings for different guitars instead. Just click on input, tune for a specific guitar, hit save and name the input setting "patch". Repeat for other guitars.

Hate to disappoint you guys, but that's probably just a con. Save your dollars. I mean it. Don't be fooled. Armin is trying to cheat you. He probably has a stake in the company, lol.
