Hello there Kemper community!
Once I heard about the existence of this profile I knew I had to get it, and once I got it, it instantly became one of my favourites, so I've recorded a sample!

I'll give my 2 cents to the OP
I don't think commercial or free profiles are better or worse than each other. Most of the commercial profiles are a step up to the free ones, but there are some free ones that really sound amazing.
I am mostly a high gain / metal player so take that in mind
My favourite FREE profiles:
Cadaver EVH 5150 by Jason Wan
Bogner XTC CH3 Plexi by r.u.sirius
Bulb Rhythm Patch by Justin (this one is mostly if you play a "djent" style)
Engl Powerball (EPWBIRCAB07_820) by Kosten
My favourite commercial profiles
Engl Powerball by Soundside.de
Mesa Boogie LoneStarSpecial 4x12" by Soundside.de
pretty much all the marshalls on soundside.de
Marshall JCM800 Hot Mod by theampfactory.com
Suhr Badger 30 by Soundside.de
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier by ShainSTH
I use these often, and with no preference over the paid ones or the free ones
they sound really good to be honest. I was more impressed with the actual song you used though
Make sure you announce it here, when that EP comes out
I am actually amazed by that aswell, I have only tried the kemper transpose function for some bass-like sounding guitars cause I never had much faith in these effects
alexanderdoyle you've just solved me a big problem/hassle that i've had for years. Now I can play pretty much every song without having to detune my guitar all the way!
oh and mad props for the kemper team for making a transpose effect as good as this, i never even knew the technology for this existed
maybe andy and armin can govern together ?
great tone, and the song is nice as well!
damn now I have to get those profiles
dat powerball
my favourite rectifier profile is from ShainSTH

Thanks. I have used the kemper for the bass, I used an Ampeg SVT-III profile I found on the rig exchange awhile ago
Great amp, versatile, the cleans are really pristine, and it is one of those "Not high gain amps" that can give out a pretty heavy sound as well. Anyway here is what i've done
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…sic/wintersunLSSarmin.mp3
Profiles used:
LSS C2 G15 DOn 14 NT
+2.0 Treble
+1.0 Presence
10.0 Definition
No compressors or eqs on the guitars, minor eq on the master track, 2 guitars hard panned left and right for the rhythm, and in the center for the leads/solo
Before I even had my Kemper, I was already in love with this amp, and even though i'm more of a high gain kind of person, I wanted to try this one out. When Armin put it out, I just had to buy it. Then I made a sample of it:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…sic/newproject2badger.mp3
Profiles used:
BAD G9 B3M6T7 P2D4 - with delay and reverb on the leads (from the Kemper effects)
No eq tweaking on the kemper, no compressors or eqs on the guitars, minor eq on the master track, 2 guitars hard panned left and right for the rhythm, and in the center for the leads/solo
Another amp from Armin here, when I heard the sample I really liked the sound of this amp, so I had to try it. Was not disappointed! The amp is pretty nice and I recorded this with it.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.…ongs/SymoronKemperERB.mp3
Profiles:
ERB L2 17 090912 P : Rhythm Guitars
ERB L2 15 090912 P : Lead Guitars with some reverb and delay from the kemper
No eq tweaking on the kemper, no compressors or eqs on the guitars, minor eq on the master track, 2 guitars hard panned left and right for the rhythm, and in the center for the leads/solo
There ´s some kind of "magic" in Armin ´s profiles.. I think he uses some trick when profiling which he will not reveal to anybody, hehe..
I think i'll have to agree, definitely worth their price, not only for their quantity, but they're very tidy so you know which profile you want right off the bat according to gain and equalization
oh yeah and they definitely sound better than most others that are around
very good one mate, keep em coming!
No covers, No guitar only, No full songs
or
No covers, Yes guitar only or Yes full songs?
I'm sorry i didn't quite understand it totally hehe, i was already thinking of making some demos for some rigs of yours, and should it be equalized/mixed, or raw sounding ?
i've tried it. It is good. I have switched the cabinets though, and now it sounds amazing with my setup
I don't have experience with such low tunings, I have only gone down to drop B on a 6 string guitar, but anyway I'm gonna give my thoughts on high gain profiles in general
ShainSTH's Commercial Rectifier Profiles - these are just great sounding overall, not sure if you're looking for a rectifier sound, but these are for me the best rectifier profiles
Fluff Rev1 (Krank Revolution) - I'm not into the profile just as you download it, but I messed around with some of TillS recto cabs and it sounds amazing with the right cabs
Bogner XTC Ch3 Plexi by r.u.sirius - this comes as a low gain profile, but i've dialed in some more gain and it actually sounds pretty accurate, you might also put a green scream to boost up some more gain, and it sounds really metal
I've tried all these with a low tuning (the drop B I talked about), albeit not for black metal. I've tried them with some death metal and metalcore. These profiles have some good mids, and the definition is great (in that aspect I believe it's good for your style)
Anyway, just my 2 cents
i'm not sure how it works in finland, but in here (Portugal), PayPal has an option to do a bank transfer to a certain account, which will then turn into funds on your paypal account. I have used this for some time, it usually takes 2 days for the whole process to be completed. I don't have a credit card so this was the go to solution for me
