Yeah, it looks like a pretty handy beast, the OC-10. Never heard of it before, thanks!

Am I the only non hard rock/metal player who owns a Kemper? lol
Nope!

It probably means that he switched the cab part of the profile for one from Till's downloadable pack.

I get what you're saying, there should be a more standard way of tagging profiles, especially now we've got RM. However, as for having to know EXACTLY what was profiled, I don't really give a monkey's, as long as it sounds right for what I need it for. And lol @Ingolf

This isn't just "interesting", viabcroce, it's genius level recursive logic!
If you have two KPA's and profile a profiler's profile on the other KPA, that is your own profile now? Wow. My mind has been blown for the day.
That's right up there with Kurt Gödel telling his Naturalization Judge that the U.S. Constitution had a logical flaw: You could make a new Amendment prohibiting further Amendments and forever close that document to further changes. That's you, viabcroce!
I think it'd be more likely that you'd have to profile the profile with a different profiler (kind of like people using the KPA to profile an Axe FX, if the Axe FX was a profiler and not a modeller). Makes more sense to me, anyway...

Bugger!!! ill sort the links out when im home from work. Doing what you have suggested above regarding pencil tools etc is defeating the object really. Ive never had an issue like this in the past with other amps etc.
Fair enough, I just thought suggesting possible workarounds might help (as annoying as that may be...sorry).
Cheers,
Sam
The links don't work, dude.
As for the clicking issue, without hearing it, I'm assuming it wouldn't be that hard to edit out after the fact, using a DAWs pencil tool or a crafty crossfade. Not exactly a deal breaker. I'm assuming you want to record a live performance, otherwise simple overdubs/punch-ins using the different rigs would be the way to go, of course. However, I understand your frustration. Having something not the work the way you imagined it would and then not get recognition that it doesn't is a bummer. I haven't had this issue myself. One must assume that you've tried factory resets etc. I hope you get it sorted!

If you are famous in 20 years, you can still remix your old tracks with every possible option and earn more money
Hahaha!

If I got a Spring Reverb, I'd forget about the other two until I came out of the other side of my happiness tunnel!
Me too!!!

It's funny, but in isolation I liked the VHT the least, but thought it sounded best in the mix. Just goes to show...

In my experience, it's best to get the sound 'in the ballpark', but leave the serious eqing until it's time to mix. Once you've taken something away, it's hard to dial it back in, if at all possible. Generally, a gentle (6-12dB/octave) high pass filter set around 80 Hz is all I'd apply, if anything, just to clear up the subsonic rubbish. however, that's a technique I apply to recording real amps, so take it with however much salt you like...

Off the top of my head, no. Direct out is the signal passing from the input and directly through to the output, bypassing Stomps, Stack and Effects. As the Return input is part of the Stomps (the mono loop), this would also be bypassed.

I'm really hoping there'll be a spring included with the next FW update, or at least some news on whether they're working on one or not. My finger trigger is getting pretty itchy and my aim is on this.

A quick question : why would you want the signal to be any hotter? 24-bit recording doesn't require signals to be as hot as in the analogue days, where traditionally they'd be hotter to make the most of the poorer signal-to-noise ratio. If you're tracking with peaks of anything higher than -12 - -10 dbFS then you need to think about your gain staging.

Hmmm must get around to posting pics of my gear, too! Some nice and interesting set ups here.

I played a show last night with my PowerRack, direct in to my Marshall 2x12. With this particular band I usually use a passive PA wedge, but have had complaints from the rest of the musicians that my guitar sometimes 'disappears' on stage, so I decided to go with my cab. They told me that my guitar has never sounded better! I didn't do anything to adjust the performance that I usually use through the PA wedge, I just ran it straight into the guitar cab. Food for thought....

Depends on the cab and the profile....

I had a 20/20 (sold it after I got my PowerRack) and it was awesome. Seriously great sound, and LOUD for 20W!!!
