With the advice of our friend Hannes I have captured 5 profiles of the 1994 Tremoverb in a very full and non fizzy state. They are uploaded to the rig exchange, please report back with opinions. Note these are raw profiles and will most likely need to be eq'ed to taste.

Thanks Hannes. I'm thinking the Mesa v30 will help with the fizz as they have considerably less highs. I'll post them when done.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to your thoughts so I can make them better.

Please use caution when using these profiles with cabs off as some of them exhibit some strange behavior.
If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know.
Edit: After doing a system reset the strange behavior is gone. Seems it was not an issue with the profiles but a setting in the Kemper.

Negative comments are welcome as this was my first try. I loaded the cab with a Mesa v30 and a greenback for the next session. Will incorporate a Grace M101 preamp also.

Glad to hear. Keep us updated!

I had had a problem like this and a system reset cured it.

Here are some free Mesa profiles to try.

Let me know what you think.

Profiles with the adjusted front panel EQ's are from a Mini Rectifier, those with flat front panel EQ are from a 1994 Tremoverb.

Hey guys,
This is my first attempt. There will be more eventually. These are Mesa Rectifier profiles taken with a V30 Rivera K412T cab and a SM7B microphone.
All feedback is appreciate!
Depending on the output of your pickups you may need to turn down or off the noise gate in slot D.
Edit: see page 3 for the triple sample and info. Profile is on the exchange as brunt of the triple.

Only on headphones for me.

I think we need to show interest before we get more. Come on guys!
-
I have had no problems doing this.

Just loaded these. Wow, they are really good. Thanks twice! That was a lot of work.

The stock profile "Dual Boogie Modern" with the gain turned down to 6.7 and eq'ed to taste with an external boost is the best Rectifier profile I have heard. Very real amp like without the extra mic preamp baked in.

Thanks Chris!!!

Question, how would this then effect the reamped signal?
-
As first thing I would like to mention, that I don't know which profile was used for comparison. So what I write here is based only on those 2 .wav files.I can hear the difference when I listen to those files properly. That means - take part of one file, say 1-2 seconds and right after that play the same part from second file.
2.4.2 file has definitely more treble.
All this "Sound change after FW change" issues are driving me nuts and that holds me back from going anywhere from 2.3.3
So I searched for some tool to compare sounds not only by our ears, but also DSP routines. And I found tool called Audio DiffMaker - signal difference extraction software, which can help us with this task. From Audio DiffMaker page:
Audio DiffMaker is a freeware tool set intended to help determine the absolute difference between two audio recordings, while neglecting differences due to level difference, time synchronization, or simple linear frequency responses.
The difference recording that results is only what has changed between the two recordings. If anything - a change of component, a treatment, mechanical damping, etc. - is having any audible effect on the audio signal in a system, the difference recording will have audible content. The end result is primarily intended to be evaluated by ear.
Audio DiffMaker tool webpageI used this tool to compare those two .wav files and the result was, that there is difference.
Output of this tool is difference track, which should be evaluated by human, so you can hear it here: https://soundcloud.com/peto_91…33-vs-kruno_tills_jvm_242My screnshots from DiffMaker:

http://oi62.tinypic.com/20artll.jpgI did not make any other comparisons, as I don't have much spare time for that ,
but maybe someone with more free time will use this tool to make more testing and we will finally know if "FW Sound change" issue is real or myth.I will make thread about this software as I find it very useful for purpose of comparing sound differences between KPA firmware changes.
I am wondering, (and I was asking this some time ago but didn't get answer), if Kemper performs any kind of automated sound change comparison & analysis on new fw releases. I think this tool would be great for this.
Peto, this is good work! Thanks for finding this!
