Monitor on master mono which it is, check monitor cab off and power amp on.
You'll most likely need to adjust the monitor out eq.
Welcome!
-
CK, can you comment?
Thanks
-
Yes. Off is off but it seems to me there must have been a starting point to determine cab amp separation.

Anyone know what speaker/cab combo the "cab sim off" algorithm is based on?
For me it sounds best with newer Mesa V30s. Older Mesa V30s are so so. Not so good with greenbacks. Have a K100 but haven't tried it yet.
Thanks,

Looking forward to it!

Well done Relio!

Most of them are keepers for me. Very well done profiles. Even for metal!
-
Definitely interested in checking out the profile! Sounds good!

So does SPIDF sound better?
SPDIF has less da ad conversion so it is purer though it depends on your other equipment. -
Sample rate. Bit depth was always set to 24,
-
True, or you will get static.

Very kind undertaking!

I tested the spdif out on the Kemper to Focusrite Saffire Pro24 to Firewire and compared it to running from Kemper main out into a Grace pre to Mytek DA converter to Spdif Toslink in. There was a small difference. The benefit to using the main out to a good AD converter is you are not limited to the clock rate in the Kemper. Higher bit rates generally have more "air" and a little more detail. I still noticed this switching between different bit rates when using the main out to AD though I am not sure why as the digital bit rate in the Kemper is set at the lower.
On a related topic. I can confirm that not all Spdif Toslink decoders are created equal. Running mic to pre to AD to Toslink on mac sounds significantly better that mic to pre to AD to toslink on Saffire Pro24 to Firewire.

I dig it. I like that you can hear the strings and the note.

From my experience most of the profiles sound very similar through a guitar cab.
-
I have many guitar cabs with many different speakers and I do not care for them with the Kemper. Even with the Kemper cabs off I need to do a lot of adjusting to get them to sound ok, not to mention the volume needs to be up. FRFR is a much better option in my opinion. For me it sounds much more natural through my monitors and headphones.

Glad to hear from everyone. Please keep them coming!

For me the Kemper sounds much better. You could perhaps eq in more mids or double the track with a thicker sounding profile.
