When I switch my Charvel from SC to HB I get that same feeling like I'm suddenly playing in mud. I use an EQ (A-D slot) stomp that came with a Morgan AC20 rig in RE. It mostly adds a +7db bump around 2500hz. Change mix to suit, its helped me hope it does you too.

Try adding a bit of Clarity from the amp section or dropping the gain when you switch from single coil to humbucker. You’re driving the amp harder with the Paul than you are with the Strat causing more distortion I believe.

Totally different beasts! The Charvel is really set up to shred, so everything feels really easy. Must admit, I never dared changing gauges for fear of losing that ultimate playability, so it still gets strung with 9s, which definitely makes a difference. The Alphers Have more fight in them, which I like for the types of music I’m generally out playing. They can take a heavy hand too, which is nice for me and my playing style.
I went up to 9.5's on my GG, it takes a slight bit more work to play but the tone thickened up noticeably.

To OP:
Depends on the amp. If I like the cleans more than the dirty like say on a Fender Twin I'll add an extra clean for options. Amps like a 5150 it's the reverse.

I find it impossible to remember (or tell) what morphing is set for each slot, so I've not been using it much these days. I usually just create a new slot now.
Ditto! I got in a lot of trouble trying that lol. I now just use it to add some delay/reverb, much safer.

Crickets.. any ideas out there? Running into the same limitation I think.

When I set up a Wah stomp on my Remote the colored LED sits where it should on the top left of the assigned button but the white status LED shows up on the opposite side? Only does this for Wah and it happens on any of the buttons I assign it to. Is this normal or is my Remote “special”? Thanks for any help.

Glad you’re back MM you were missed

If the patches you set up have some gain to them already then adding a booster won’t give you a volume boost, it just makes more distortion. Increase the signal after the Stack section if this is the case.
-
Won’t work ugh however if anyone knows of a single stand alone expression pedal with midi out let me know. I would hook that pedal up to the midi in of the Kemper and set it as midi cc#72 to run as a Gain pedal.

Hmm... I use a Volume pedal Post already for swells and solo boosting. Will try that out tho tomorrow. I just got 2 mission pedals but of course forgot to get trs cables lol.
-
I use the Morph for other things but yes that is one work around. My usual work around is to have no Wah on rigs I use the Gain pedal for.
-
Would love the ability to have a Gain pedal and a Wah on the same rig set up on different expression pedals. Would require the Wah Pedal Booster to be a unique effect independent of the Wah Stomp I believe. As it stand now once the regular Wah is selected it over rides the Gain pedal, hope it’s me doing something wrong? would be awesome for live use.

I’m sure it been covered but not seeing it in my search attempts:
I got an ernie ball wah jr but I do t think it can work with the remote as a wah/vol connected to the remote pedal slot 4. I couldn’t get it to work and was gonna buy a trs cable to see if that’s the issue. Before I go thru all that In hoping someone has experience with this setup if it’s possibl at all. Thanks y’all!

Does your 5pc have banks? Same rigs on each bank but one bank boosted.
