Looks very cool but like mentioned already if it's over a grand I'd buy an Ultra which I can use as a back up amp as well. Not crazy about pedal effects anyways very inconvenient while on stage to do any tweaking.

The wheels on the stand you mentioned from the other post have locks on them

Until 2.4 I gigged with all the beta's Being a bit more cautious now.

My plan is to get an Axe FX (for the effects and tweaking abilities it has) and put my KPA in the loop for the tones. Best of both worlds but I'm sure I'll be a list or two somewhere as a crack pot lol. Buy whatever you like gang just keep playing!

The Mix 400 doesn't collapse but comes apart in about 10 seconds into 3 pieces, pretty easy to deal from there.

Yup On Stage Mix 400, head tilts and wheels lock. $120 at GC if I remember right.

Small mixer stand worked great for me when I had my toaster.

+1 for DrB FRFR is the way to go. Good luck getting authentic sounding Fender Cleans out of a Marshall cab, etc etc etc

The Ground Control is great but without expression pedals you are missing so much that's cool about midi. I also like having the all in one housing option rather than getting a Ground Control and adding expression pedals to it, much easier and safer. I use the Roland FC300. I did have a FCB1010 but found the expression pedals were too close, if I had to jump on one or the other quick I kept moving them both, not good on stage. Not sure if there's more of a gap in the Roland but I rarely miss with it. I'm also tossing around the idea of adding a FC200 to my setup and leaving it in CC mode. Having 3 expression pedals and 12 CC messages would take care of anything I'd need to do to a profile live.

Yup the tone difference was huge with 2.4.0, almost sounded like a cheap stereo instead of a guitar cab. I'll check it out later and also post my boot times. If the times are decent enough I'll forgo buying a UPS for my rack and that will make my day! Thanks again Kemper for following through with the fix as promised, couldn't care less if it's in the release notes or not, I'm worried about the results and not so jaded by other companies that I won't let Kemper slide for showing they are human beings

I use my KPA with a pair of EV ZLX12p's and it cuts through fine. The biggest thing I do is after getting a profile where I like it I then add more mids, as much as 10% and it sings in a high volume stage situation. Did this as a last resort, tried everything to get through the mix with the sound the way I like it. Maybe my ears just like it scooped but I need to be heard first and foremost.

For rack mounts too, the black is soooooo boring. What about replaceable skins like my phone has? Now we're talking....
-
Cool Peto, I must have missed that, thought it was a bass player thing they were talking about lol. I'll download 2.4.1 tonight and give it a whirl.
-
What about the tone change? Still using 2.3 until that's fixed too but no word about it.
-
Looks great thanks! 3-12 min run time should be plenty.

Any one have suggestions for an inexpensive rack mount back up power supply for my Kemper rig? Thanks!
-
Yup Rig Manager is down for me too until the fix 2.4. I'm using 2.3 and love it.

Just curious about what setting you have the dials at and what kind of guitar you use? I don't have the pedal but I'm itching to try adding one of Kemper's EQ's with the same frequencies in slot X (where I usually have a solo boost) just to see what it does for me too.

Would love some tips myself, never seem happy with stage sound but maybe that's because it changes so much from room to room. I have a couple of EQ's saved for a couple of venues we frequent most but even then that is only a starting point as it will change a lot as the crowd starts coming in. Bodies absorb sound but I'm an amateur at this stuff so that's about all I know. One of my saved EQs is flat so I can start from scratch in new venues, one decreases the highs a bit in small rooms with a lot of hard surfaces. In the output section you can save and name your current settings, either monitor out or main out or both, just hit the store button from that menu. Hope that helps!
