Hi there, I've searched the forum but haven't found an answer to my question....I'm using the unpowered Kemper, which is connected to a Rocktron Velocity Power Amp. From there on, I'm connecting a 1x12 (at home) or 4x12 cab.
I'm sure there are a few other users with this combination: So, how do you connect the Kemper to the Rocktron ? Do you use the monitor out or the main out ? I tried both options couldn't find much difference in the sound. Are there any pros or cons ?
At this moment, I don't need to connect to a PA, so all of the outputs are available.
By the way, would it make sense to connect the Main Left and Main Right Output of the Kemper to the two Channel 1 Inputs of the Rocktron when using just one output of the Rocktron ? Sorry, but I couldn't find an answer in the manuals.
    Thanks for your help !

    Hi,
I'm selling a Yamaha DXR 10; bought Jan 2015, the box is like new (maybe used for three hours), just a few scratches (please ask for photos). The DXR is located in Austria/Dornbirn, and will be shipped to Austria and Germany. Price is 500 Euro plus 20 Euro shipping (Hermes).
If anyone is interested, please send a mail to: [email protected]

Meanwhile, I got my DXR10 and I'm very satisified with it so far. I'm thinking about getting a second one...
Ingolf: Which TS-TS Cable do you use ? And have you tried to connect one of the DXRs to the left XLR-output and the other one to the right xlr-output ? I think that would be the way I'd try it first....

Hi Martin, thanks again...but still, same problem (Kempers headphone jack works fine by the way); but I just found out something else: There's a firmware update for the FCA, one of the bugfixes is: "OS X explicit feedback allows sync to external signals (SPDIF) (bug #10124)"; maybe this would solve the problem.
But the upgrade software from Behringer seems to be for Windows-Users only ?! Great support...I'm thinking about sending the FCA back an get the Focusrite 6i6 instead.

    From Gearslutz.com:

    Dear ...,
Unfortunately, there is not a Mac firmware updater planned at this time. The update improves the feel of the Main Volume and ADAT sync in FireWire mode

If you could provide some more details on your USB issues I would be happy to help troubleshoot, such as what OS and software you are using.

When in FireWire mode, the FCA will draw bus power even when the power adaptor is plugged in. A workaround is to use a 6 pin to 4 pin or 6 pin to 4 pin to 6 pin adaptor, as only the 6 pin cable provides bus power.

Hi community, after reading lots of SPDIF - threads, my problem still isn't solved, so please give me some good advice.
I'd like to connect my Kemper to my imac, here's the chain:

Kemper->SPDIF-Out->Behringer FCA610 SPDIF-In->USB-Connection to iMac; DAW is Logic Pro; when opening up the system settings, a signal is shown, but the speakers remain silent, same thing when connecting headphones to the named interface.
What am I doing wrong ? As a signal is shown, the problem must be located somewhere in Logic I suppose...

Okay, seems like I justed figured out the main problem: The I/O puffer settings were wrong; after fixing this, everything works fine. Right now, my signal chain is: Guitar->KPA->Left main output->Behringer->iMAC->Logic (with correct I/O puffer settings :) )
Sorry for bothering you, but I'm just starting with recording, I'm really new to this.
Anyways, thanks for your help, I really like this forum with it's helpful users !

Thanks for your answers ! By now I figured out, that I can get the best results by using the headphone jack, but I guess the best way would be the SPDIF connection (concerning to your post, tylerhb, an tons of posts I've read in the past few hours).

Hi community, as I'm getting bad recording results i'm thinking about a new solution. Actually, I connect the Kemper to a Behringer Xenyx 1202, from there over USB to an iMac. The sound i'm getting is very very poor, not to compare with the sound i'm getting over my Rocktron velocity 300 hooked straight into a Marshall 2x12 cab.
I was wondering about the USB-Port on the backside of the Kemper: Could the Kemper be used that way as an audio interface in the (hopefully) near future ? Are there any rumors ? I've had an POD HD Pro before, which worked very fine as an audio interface this way.
    Greetings,

    Niki

Hi Community, I'm thinking of getting a Kemper Powerrack. After reading lots of threads in this and other forums, even after considering the manual, one question is still unanswered... Is it possible to connect the amp, which has 300/600 watts output to a Marshall 2x12 cabinet (MR 1936) with accepts just150 Watts input without damaging the cab ?
    Thanks for your help !
