Hast du denn auch 2 Boxen hinten dran die Stereo gehen?
Verfärbt sich der Klang im Unterschied von Kemper->Box und Kemper->Endstufe->Box(en) enorm? Oder ist das nicht hörbar?Ich hatte mir damals die unpowered Version geholt da ich vor hatte (und habe es immer noch) InEar zu nutzen.
Mittlerweile wäre mir eine Variante mit Endstufe lieber, dann könnte ich mir die Palmer sparen.
Ich vermute dass ein gewisser klanglicher Unterschied zwischen der B&O Endstufe im KPA und der Macht402 vorhanden sein wird. Für ein Stereo Setup würde ich die interne nicht nutzen wenn ich eine Stereo Endstufe hätte.

@DML FRFR möchte ich aus dem Grund nicht, weil ich den Sound meiner Palmer Boxen sehr mag und all meine Profiles passend auf die Box ausgerichtet hab.
Ich denke er meinte nicht dass du die Box gegen eine Fullrange tauschen sollst, sondern rein der Frequenzgang der Endstufe linear verläuft, was bei einer Röhrenendstufe nicht gegeben ist.
Es gibt aber auch Nutzer die damit ihren Sound hinbekommen... Alles eine Frage des Geschmacks.Lineare Stereoendstufe. Main out links und rechts in die Endstufe und an jeden Kanal eine der Palmers. Das ist dann Stereo wenn im outputmenü master stereo bei main out eingestellt wird. Anders gehts nicht.
2 Stück 2x12 an den power out bleibt mono. Impendanzen beachten wenn man die cabs hintereinander schaltet!
Ich denke auch dass es für ein richtiges Stereo Setup nur so gehen wird. Auf dem Monitor Out liegt ja ein reines Mono Signal an, wenn Stereo Effekte da drüber laufen wird vermutlich linkes und rechtes Signal abgebildet.
Aus den Main Outs in eine Stereo (oder 2 Mono) Endstufe und dann auf die beiden Boxen sollte der richtige Weg sein.
Dann wäre der KPA ohne Endstufe eigentlich auch die richtige Wahl, also wenn du tauschen möchtest
Die Palmer habe ich selbst im Einsatz und würde sie jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Habe auch schon PA Endstufen probiert, die fand ich auch nicht schlecht. Aber die Palmer doch einen ticken besser für Gitarre.

I think you can pull them a bit back and try to fiddle them through the hole of the cap.
If that soesn´t work you can still resolder the cables. It´s no big deal i would say.

RIght... uhm, I do realize now that since I already soldered the connectors I have to resolder them again because this thing need to be underneath the chassis part right?
You can put the plugs through the holes, no need to unsolder them again.

For what reason would you use those plastic caps on top of the connection plates?
I wanted them mainly for cosmetical reasons. But if somebody ever spills a drink over my rack the connectors are safe. Maybe thats a better reason for them. -

You can take every one from your list. Everything will work.
The last one is a bit special, because you need a special tool to put the wires into the contacts. Maybe i would go to the nearest electrician and have a cable put into the contacts so i have a plug less in the setup.
Take one of the other on your list and you have the option to add a power injector for cable lenght up to 100m (or whatever is supported)

Well, in the description of your video is stated that it was taken from a game (Rock Band)
I doubt that this is the unprocessed pure signal from the amp. There is quite a bit of processing going on (EQs and whatever)
From this point of view, the sound from the video i posted is really close and can also be enhanced by putting some EQ and whatever in the effect section.
So whatever you want to achieve with your rant... i highly doubt that you really have interest in getting that tone but only to bash the KPA.
Whatever... Iin my opinion it is easily possible to get a really close to the original sounding tone.
For the same tone, you also have to be the same artist -

Just go to the next Hardware store and buy a few M3 Screws with self-locking nuts and maybe some washers. The current panels only have holes. Some older versions had treads so you could use only screws without nuts.

What would be your advice to shield/protect the backside of the chassis parts of the connectors to avoid shortcuts or interference
Which cable type for the XLR connectors? At Thomann I only could find XLR cables with connectors on it whereas I just need the cable to have it cut and soldered in the right length.
For Shielding you could use these: https://www.thomann.de/nl/neut…arch_rslt_kappe_116991_10If you take 1m cables you could cut the in half and use the 2 open ends to solder the directly to the D-Norm connectors. For the XLR connectors the ones i posted before are for a connection of normal plugs on their back. I would prefer those because you dont have any weak points and you can always unplug them easily. I thought that these also come with TRS connectors, but i couldn´t find them. For Ethercon connections (remote) there are such connectors. Maybe that could be handy if you ever want to upgrade to the remote.

To be honest, i dont know if anybody uses a tuner with the output active. Maybe if you tune while playing, but that seems to be a very rare scenario.
But an Option to mute separate outputs would be nice.

If money is not the problem, always go for the powered version. You have the added option to drive a cab without additional external equipment. I would go for that way now.
You can always use any other option like an external poweramp or an active Monitor/Wedge whatever.
But if you take the unpowered version you are missing the built in poweramp sooner or later imho.
If there is a notable difference soundwise. I honestly don´t know... But i don´t think that this can be that different. (internal vs e.g. Palmer Macht 402 or similiar)

I think especially for smaller manufacturers (in this case they don´t even sell the amps officially) it is a great tool to get some recognition from a wider audience.
And for the big guys like Marshall, Vox, Peavey, Mesa, etc... it could be also a great marketing tool. Just think about how many profilers are used and how many people they could reach with perfect made profiles.

Interesting point you bring up here, Because isn't it bad for heat to leave the backlid closed?
Even though the Kemper doesn't get really hot, it still needs airflow to cool down.
Am I right?I don´t think that it will cause any problems with overheating. If i am gigging with the rack i open the back because i need to access my spare batteries for my wireless.

But when i have the rack at home or in the rehearsal room i leave the lid on. Its more convenient to plug everything in that way.
But i don´t think that the KPA will ever get a heat problem inside. Time will tell....

I am using a Patchpanel since the first day put the KPA inside the rack. Every connection is routed to the front. I didnt want to open the back lid every time i was using the KPA, thats the main reason for me.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe erhoffst du dir bei den Profilen eine Funktionalität wie bei den Modelern.

Das ist beim KPA, zumindest meiner Meinung nach, nur bedingt möglich. Jedes Profil ist eine Momentaufnahme eines Setups. Und da gibt es naturgemäß schon extreme Unterschiede.
Du kannst 2 identische Röhrensetups nebeneinander stellen und wirst bei gleicher Einstellung 2 unterschiedliche Sounds hören.
Jeder Speaker klingt etwas anders, genau wie jeder Röhrenamp. Das ist einfach so. Dementsprechend verhält sich das eben auch mit den erhältlichen Profilen.Vielleicht würde es helfen wenn du uns ein paar deiner bisher verwendeten Amp Simulationen nennst, dann könnte man dir ein paar Vorschläge von Profilen machen die bei anderen gut funktionieren. Das ist natürlich keine Garantie dass die bei dir auch funktionieren, aber es könnte helfen.
Ebenfalls wäre es interessant zu erfahren mit welcher Gitarre und welchen Tonabnehmern du spielst. Auch hier wirken sich die Unterschiede auf den Gesamtsound aus. Ich bekomme mit meinen Einstellungen auch nur mit meiner Gitarre den gewünschten Sound. Wenn ich die Klampfe meines Bandkollegen dranhänge gefällt mir der Sound schon nicht mehr so gut. Das ist aber kein Problem des KPA sondern geht mir mit meinem Mesa genauso.

Wo kommst du denn her? Eventuell erklärt sich jemand aus deiner Gegend dazu bereit eine kleine Einführung mit dir zu machen. Für den Raum Stuttgart würde ich mich anbieten. -
Man kann an das Thema ja von vielen Seiten herangehen. Am Besten finde ich es sich seinen AMP als Profil zu suchen. Der Otto-Normal-Gitarrero hat ja auch schon vor dem Kemper einen Verstärker besessen im Normalfall.
Mittlerweile gibt es so viele kommerzielle Profilhersteller dass man einen Haufen gut klingender Profile bekommt. Leider auch viele die einem dann nicht gefallen. Wie von aalrh schon erwähnt kann man da viel Lehrgeld zahlen. Vor allem wenn der persönliche Geschmack sehr speziell ist.
Ich würde empfehlen mir vorerst nur Profile eines einzigen Verstärkers anzuschauen um ein Gespür für die unendlichen soundlichen Möglichkeiten des Profilings zu bekommen. Wenn es die Möglichkeit gibt selbst ein Profil zu erstellen, also ein gutes Mikrofon sowie passende Räumlichkeiten vorhanden sind, dann kann man hier auch am lebenden Objekt herausfinden wie ein Profil zustande kommt und warum manche eben gut klingen und manche eben anders.
Was viele immer zu vergessen scheinen, ist die Tatsache dass hier kein "in-the-room" Sound Simuliert wird, sondern der Sound der aus der PA kommt. Und der klingt für die meisten erst einmal befremdlich. Schlicht weil man das nicht gewohnt ist.
Wenn man sich allerdings einmal die Mühe macht und den Profiling Vorgang mit einer Aufnahme kombiniert und den mikrofonierten Amp sowie das erstellte Profil vergleicht, erkennt man schnell dass der Kemper das was er tun soll auch verdammt gut macht.
Was zur Beantwortung der Frage auch beitragen kann wäre das Setup in dem der Profiler genutzt wird. Auch hier gibt es viele Möglichkeiten von denen manche dem gewohnten Amp Sound näher kommen als andere.

CabSim an oder aus?"Amtlich" klingen meine eigenen Profile in meinem Setup im Proberaum schon für meinen Geschmack. Sobald ich die dann über meine kleinen Monitore daheim höre ist das doch eher ernüchternd.
Das Merged Profil klingt ohne den Boxenanteil so wie ich das von meinem Amp gewohnt war. Meine Fähigkeiten beim Mikrofonieren des Setups waren allerdings eher mäßig. Also ist das Profil eben nur in dem Setup an der Gitarrenbox brauchbar für mich.
