Very much relevant indeed. Can't believe this hasn't been implemented on day 1.

The whole point of the Kabinet is to provide a true amp-in-the-room feel.
And in that regard Kabinet passes the test with flying colours.
+1 for CL80 and C90
Chicks. Well, just one to be exact. The fact that I married her years ago and now any attempt to buy guitar equipment needs to go through her budget approval process is quite ironic.
Have you stopped using LFR-112 or are you still using it?
Oh yeah, still using LFR-112, not even thinking about getting rid of it.
Soon I am going to try Laney LFR-112, which seems to sound much better than all-praised DXR10.
I've used LFR-112 for almost 3 years, a brilliant cab IMO. Does not disappoint though not sure how it compares to the Kabinet.
Has this been finally resolved (after more than 2 years) or is it still not possible to filter out the non-merged rigs? I cannot find such an option in the current release of RigManager but hopefully I'm doing something wrong?
Good stuff mate.
I've used Laney lfr-112 for more than 2 years, plenty of volume to play with a drummer, fine for small gigs. It's very reasonably priced too, powered 400W unit you can get for 300 GBP. Laney make 2x12 version as well, 800W I believe. The cab is not too heavy, but definitely not light either, something around 20kg or 44 pounds. In terms of the amp-in-the-room feel it's not very far from Kabinet especially after you tweak the cab and your profiles. It's also ok for studio and DAW recording although I'd definitely recommend getting a pair of proper monitors for that purpose.
All I know is I like knobs and buttons. How insightful, right?
Thanks folks. Will keep an eye on announcements from Kemper!
Welcome to the forum! We don't have a date for the powered Kone, but we know it's coming
Do we though? Have the Kemper staff confirmed it's somewhere on the roadmap?
I just picked up a Laney FR-112. So far it's great. It's kind of in between a real cab and a PA speaker. Previously with my Helix, I used a Friedman ASM-12. It pretty much sucked. Too heavy and just sounded dull and lifeless.
FR-112 is just brilliant for the price. One of the few items I super-optimistically preordered in my life (generally I avoid preorders), but I've had the Laney cab for more than a year now and can't recommend it enough. Will probably get a second one soon for a stereo setup.
Oh man that's a shame. I've got mine since 2013. That's a hype train derailed now. To be fair, however, we receive new Kemper features and fixes so often that I feel it'd be just unfair to castigate anyone
I believe SPDIF slave mode is available on the Stage because it has different SPDIF hardware. The rack and toaster's SPDIF hardware doesn't support slave mode. Unfortunately, it's not something a firmware update can change.
Brian
Turns out it does and it can (see 7.5 update) ! Kemper will never seize to amaze me.
Question to Herr Kemper and his talented team, could we please have some roughly estimated date of when the powered version of Kabinet would be available? This year perhaps?
Nope, never heard any hissing on my unit, even though I've used it for more than a year now, almost on daily basis.
You won't be disappointed. Also, go ahead and update already existing LFR-112 thread: Laney LFR-112
I've got a pair of HS5 plus HS8S sub and they sound sooooo well with KPA's bass profiles.
That's the Matrix's feature I miss. DSP loudness correction mode in matrix did the trick nicely. Laney LFR112 sounds OKeyish at low volume. At least to my ear. Dunno... It sounds just fine at bedroom-volume level.
