The Profiler only sends the MIDI program change commands that you assigned for a slot in a performance when you actually select that slot. If your external device needs to "learn" that MIDI program change number you need to select the slot in the Profiler while you keep holding down those buttons on your external device.

is the Auxin level for the monitor output raised in the output menu?
-
To be clear, Christoph, are you saying that there'd be no point in running DAW projects at 48kHz instead of 44.1kHz?
As I said earlier, I've always run at 44.1 but lately have been second-guessing this decision.
It would be great if I could stick with 44.1kHz and say, "Christoph said there's no reason to go higher!"
apparently saying "Hans said there is no reason to go higher" isnt good enough for you.......

Maybe you are clipping the inputs of your monitors. The signal level of the XLR outputs is very hot. Have you tried the -12dB pad switch in the output menu?
-
You can determine the position of the Looper in the system menu.

i was posting this in response to the OP post which was all about levels and not tonal adjustments.

you can create input section presets for each guitar that you plan to use.

the only reason to switch to 48 khz is if you are working in the video/soundtrack business. Sonically there is no benefit.

To get the most authentic sound out of the Profiler you should use a solid state or digital power amp like the internal one. It has been explicitly selected for its neutral character.
If you want to use an external power amp you may switch the internal one off to preserve energy. Unlike tube amps the digital amp in the Profiler does not need to see any load at the output. -
An der Funktionsweise der Pedale hat sich nichts geändert.
Ist die Vol Ped Lock option im Rig Menü aktiviert? -
check the value of the pedal range on the volume pedal page in the rig menu. it has to be on -5 to trigger the tuner when the pedal is in the heel position.

If your Profiler is running at least 1.8.2 you can install the latest updates directly.

As i wrote in my previous post-you can set the levels to whatever value you desire as long as you do not clip the input of whatever gear is connected to the outputs.
Even when you crank the volume levels in the output menu to max you will not clip the outputs of the Profiler. Volume just controls loudness and has no influence on the actual sound quality.
The volume links apply to any output that they are activated for. If monitor cab off is activated pure cab will not work on the monitor output and the speaker output but on all other outputs as long as the cab m,odule on the front panel is activated. -
The volume level settings have no influence on the sound quality. Make sure to set the volume levels to a desired value without clipping the input of whatever gear is connected to the outputs. The volume link function simply connects the outputs to the master volume knob. This has nothing to do with pure cab.
Pure cab will work on all outputs that have the cab sim activated. -
5.3.1 has only been released currently. Profilers that were build some months ago will still have an older version. Log into your user account and download the latest version from the download section of our website and follow the instructions in the "How to update" PDF document that comes with the download.
-
Please update your Profiler to the most current version (5.3.1)
The way the master volume control works for the outputs is much more transparent in this version. -
Sending the wet signal from the outputs of your external effect directly into your audio interface is a good idea.
