Just an update.. Sold the Koji Comp
don't need it anymore
I ordered, charge pending on my credit card but no confirmation or email.
I sent a message to customer service and they said they see my registration but no order for remote.
for now I have given up.
i'm using a Keith Millen Softstep 2 for now ...
I don't know what you are doing Armin but you seem to have the magic touch with profiling.
The 1958 Fender Vibrolux is so detailed and sweet.
Surprising that it's done with just a R121.
The other Vibrolux you have is also a goto profile.
Looking forward to more profiles from you.
Thank you!
Emilio
Not sure what's causing dropouts with the G30.
Works fine at home or a small club but the bigger venues are a problem.
I did a audio quality shootout between the G30, Sennheiser D1000 and A 12 foot Mogami Platinum cable.
I recorded into pro tools then compared them flipping the solo button.
The G30 adds a bit of super highs. If you engage the cable emulation its cut down a bit but still not exactly the same as cable.
This is not good after meticulously tweak rigs with a cable.
The Sennheiser is just about exactly same as the cable.
I hate running thru 9volt batts on the Sennheiser!
I am very curious about that Shure GLXD.
The Shure has a great rechargeable battery.
Using it for almost a few years now without any problem except some channel crossing with other musician. Last year we started to play a smaller location and there i ran in trouble.
Got some dropouts. We investigatet the place and our only conclusion is that this location is studded with WLAN-Hotspots. The G30 works around 2,4GHz like the most WLAN´s.
So be careful with WLAN´s around. Don´t know if it works the same with the G30. With the Mics from Line6 you can leave the Mic off and only the receiver is on. So you can switch trough all chanels and see were the biggest indefferences are. I would recomend a view into the manual.
been getting a lot of dropouts lately with the G30.
depends on the gig.
Finally got around to finishing profiling the Seymour Duncan Convertible 100.
In the rig exchange under "Convertible".
Added a few more high gain profiles...
A little while back I pulled this amp out of the closet and remembered how cool it was.
I got it around 1980-8 and gigged with it for a few years.
By 1988 I was flying to most gigs so it was retired from the road.
It has been sitting in the closet almost 30 years.
I recapped it, put in fresh tubes and et voilà it's back!
This amp has a modular pre-amp section.
You can combine preamp modules to get different sounds.
I noted in the profile tags which pre-amp modules I used and the tone settings.
Microphones used are a SM7B and an old SM57 Unidyne III thru a Golden Age Pre 73 pre.
Profiles in the rig exchange under the name Convertible...

Huge thanks Andy for your rambling!
I'll be profiling the Duncan Covertible all day Sunday.
That thing gets a million different tones!
I've got a decent room and monitors.
I'll be using an SM7B, an old coveted Unidyne III SM57 and a Rode NT1000 thru a Golden Age Pre73.
Once I sift through the pile of profiles I'll upload the good ones.
Profiling is a lot like photography.
The camera lens, like a mic, sees/hears a bit different than your eyes/ears.

I'd be very interested in what magic tricks Andy, Armin or any other great profiler has up their sleeves.
After taking over 100 profiles of my Seymour Duncan Convertible 100 I've found getting a great tone from the amp is first of course, then it's all in mic type and placement.
Just a fraction of an inch movement can change the sound dramatically.
Take lots of notes of every aspect of each profile so you can refer to them when something works well.
Another thing is take breaks, give your ears a rest.
You'll be surprised what you thought was good or bad will change after some time away from it.
The more you do it the better you'll get.
The beauty of the Kemper is it never gets old!

That was, and still is, a very interesting amp with its modular (and changeable) tone stacks. Far ahead of its time and too complicated for guitarists I reckon to become successful.
Very interesting amp indeed.
Not a one trick pony.
I have several modules that combined in different ways changes to character quite a bit.
The Variable Power Control works really well to get overdrive the amp.
I dusted off the old Seymour Duncan Convertible 100w recently.
bought it 1980-81
I recapped it and put in fresh tubes.
The thing sounds fantastic!
I've been profiling it, coming soon....
After I finish profiling it will stay home in the studio collecting dust once again.

Very nice, very usable.
Thank you!
Emilio
I spent all day profiling my Seymour Convertible 100w.
a great sounding amp I recently recapped and fitted with brand new tubes.
I have a decent studio with good preamps and mics
Conclusion?
Profiling is hard to do well.
I'd rather get my profiles from The Amp Factory.
Keep'em coming guys!

I'm the fool at the front of the line
Forgive my ignorance.... I can't find that profile.
Is it a free one or from the Amp factory site?
Very tone!
Emilio
Anxiously awaiting these profiles!
I have purchased many many profiles from all the sources and out of all your Vibrolux is my go to most of the time.
the next pint is on me

Just replaced Kinmans with Chris Klien Jazzy Cats in my Strat.
What a difference!
Top end is super sweet
Michael,
The new pack 2 is f(*)((*##king great!
Every rig is a winner.
For clean sounds I like the Morgan CM50 Brt 1, Morgan AC40TB 2, Dumble CLN 1, /13 JRT915 84 3 and Vox AC30 B1.
My gig requires mostly clean funk and jazz tones.
For crunchy OD leads I'm digging Morgan CM50 Brt Klon 1, Morgan AC40TB +Brt 2
For full on leads any of the Marshalls are great.
Since I replaced my Kinman pickups with Chris Klein Jazzy Cats the top end is super sweet now.
My new Suhr with HSH pickup configuration is another world completely!
I'm heading to a gig on Houston tomorrow and can't wait to try the new rigs!
Big thanks,
Emilio
