Zero? Interesting. Sounds like something's wrong with my unit. Maybe I'll make a recording with the loop engaged (but nothing in the loop), and not engaged. Then I'll email the recordings to Kemper and see what they say.

Well, as I've said I removed everything from the loop and it still adds noise. I have noticed that the Mono Loop is worse in the "Stomp" section: If placed in the "X" slot it's not quite as bad. It's most noticeable if you play a non-distorted note and let it ring out.

When I use the effects loop, there's an annoying increase in hiss. I've tried using a 3-inch patch cable directly between the send and return to remove any pedals from the equation. When I A/B the Mono Loop, with all loop settings flat, there's a significant hiss increase.

Okay, I've resolved this. I didn't realize that there are three zero settings for Ducking, -0.0, <0.0>, and +0.0. If you choose the wrong zero setting, it messes it all up.
Thanks for the help y'all. -
The Loop level is default 100%, worth trying though.

I have a delay pedal producing echos, but I only hear the echos when I'm hitting notes: the echos get muted as soon as I'm not hitting a note.
The same thing happens with my Looper pedal: I can't hear the playback except when I'm sending an input signal to the KPA.
This is pretty strange behavior.Thankfully, I discovered that the Distortion Loop does not exhibit this behavior, so I seem to be okay for now, but I'm missing the logic here.
The Manual states the the Mono and Stereo Loop are suitable for all non-distorting effects, but this is clearly not true. -

These generate harmonics for adding emphasis to frequencies. Like the BBE Harmonic Maximizer, or the Aphex Aural Exciter.

I'd like to have Pedal Mode for the Loop, which would control the Mix %. This would allow fading in and out of Loop effects.
Thanks -
Instead of only Touch or Pedal, how about having an LFO control the parameter? There could be different shapes (Square/Sine/Etc).

I can't get used to the reversed rig navigation buttons.
I expect the "Top" rig button to select "Previous" rigs (rigs earlier in the list), and the "Bottom" rig to select "Next" rigs, but this is not what happens. Am I the only one who thinks this is strange? (or is my unit unique?)The "Left" and "Right" buttons work as expected.

The tech at violinshop.com told me that acoustic guitar amps usually give the best results for electric violin, because they're voiced for piezo pickups, which violins use.
I'm getting an electric violin in August.
If you get a KPA, please post your results -

Not sure what firmware I had, but now using the newest. It would be pretty hard to "accidentally" delete my input settings. I had the KPA operating system crash a couple of times, so it could be a different issue. Anyways, it's all fine now.

It's worth double checking your input settings, mine were deleted after updating to the latest Firmware.
