Hi guys, hope this is in the right section.

I'm using a FCB1010 pedal with a EurekaProm 3 installed to control my Kemper, but can't figure out how to make the expression pedals control wah/volume...etc. I definitely had this working before but they seem to not be doing anything now.

Would really appreciate any help! Also is there any detailed manual for using the EurekaProm 3? Thanks

Hi, I just got a new Macbook and want to replicate my old Rigmanager from my previous Mac onto the new one.

I have tried downloading Rig Manager from Kemper's website and copying across the old profile folders to the same documents location, however, these do not show up when I open Rig Manager, and none of my old custom category folders (in Rig Manager) are still there.

If anyone could help me fix this I would massively appreciate it!

    Thanks,

    Johnny

Thanks guys, it's not something that's really bothering me that much. It was more out of interest as to why traditional amps tend to move air in a different way to a kemper + power amp + cab, making pretty much the same sound.

Paults - I'm using an unpowered kemper toaster + crate power block (150w power section) + diezel 4x12 with vintage 30s.
Lokasenna - It's like being hit by sound-waves when playing, just a nice response to feel from an amp that adds to the experience.

Don't get me wrong, i'm getting great sounds, it's just a nerdy question to see if I could understand the science behind it!

One of the things I miss from playing a Kemper (through a cab) rather than a traditional amp is the lack of air movement caused by playing. Is this something Kemper would ever be able to incorporate into the software or is something physical missing that means this could never be achieved?

    Thanks!

As some of you might have seen, i've recently been looking for a power amp to use between my kemper and cabinet.
Though since they can be reasonably expensive I was thinking, would it not make sense to buy a solid state guitar head instead that can be plugged into at the power stage.
This way i'ld have a power amp but also a second guitar amp for possibly the same, or a marginally higher cost.

(I'm aware this would be less portable, but that's not really a concern for me as I would be using this set up for playing at home).

Does anyone else do this and would you recommend any low cost, solid state amp heads that would suit this purpose?
Also by going solid state, i'm assuming this would keep it more transparent, however, would something like a solid state marshall's power section still be tweaked to give a more marshally tone?

    Cheers!

I didn't, i'm admittedly pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. All I know is that with conventional amps, once you get below 30 watts or so it does seem to impact on the sound, especially for more overdriven tones. But maybe that's a different story with power amps? (Please advise me if i'm wrong!).

Also if someone could explain the mono vs stereo options/advantages to me that would be greatly appreciated! (Would I be able to run a single 4x12 in stereo?)
    Thanks

Thanks Kizzer, i'm sure they're great but a little on the pricey side for me new, and I haven't seen too many available second hand.

mbenigni - I know it seems like overkill but I got a good deal and prefer the sound and feel of 4x12s.
deadpan - don't think that would have enough headroom would it? also i'd prefer the stereo option.

Any other recommendations? I've been looking at things like the ISP Stealth, Behringer EPQ2000/EPX2800...etc. (Trying to keep things under £200 secondhand).

    Hi guys,
I recently bought a 4x12 Diezel Cab (loaded with Vintage 30s) that i'm intending to play some direct profiles through. Therefore i'm looking for a power amp but have no experience in this area and no idea what I should be looking for or spending.

The cab has two stereo 16ohm inputs, one of which is a 8ohm mono.

I'm only going to be playing at home so won't require high volumes and would rather not spend a huge amount, but I can spend more if it will dramatically improve the sound quality.
What would you recommend I look at?

    Cheers!

Looking to buy a reasonably priced power amp for my unpowered Kemper. I'm based in London and hoping to keep the budget below £200.

Let me know if you have anything for sale

Thanks, I plugged in some headphones and that does work but it seems a bit pointless since I am hearing the direct signal from the head without a cab which will never sound good.

Is there a way I can A/B between the amp and the keeper's new profile on the cab?

Also for storing new profiles, do you always have to record over an old one? This seems like a strange approach.

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to make a direct profile of my Diezel Hebert but am having some issues!

This is the first direct profile i've tried to make so I could be making numerous mistakes, but I can't seem to alter the sound in the Profiling process. Adjusting any of the knobs (volume, EQ...etc) doesn't have any effect on the 'kemper' or 'reference amp' sound. The profiling does it's alien process but and after it's done the refinements ('power sagging'...etc) make no difference either. I also don't know how to save the profile at the end of the process (though at this stage there's probably no point as it could sound terrible for all I know!)

    Here's my signal chain:

    Guitar > Kemper Front Input
Kemper Direct Output / Send > Diezel Input
Diezel Speaker Out (16 ohms) > DI box input
DI box parpout > 4x12 Cabinet
DI box Balanced XLR In/Out > Kemper Return Input

    (DI Box set at -20db)

Any help ASAP would be massively appreciated as i!t's all still plugged in and ready to go.
P.s. I'll share all the profiles if I can make it work!
