Thanks so much mate, can't wait to hear them!
If you do get a chance could you do a couple with the mid-cut on and off?

Vihreff all these profiles are fantastic but your VH4 profiles are absolutely flawless!
Could you share any tips on your profiling process, mic positions...etc?Also is there any chance you can get your hands on a Herbert?

Hi guys, title's pretty self explanatory! I'm based in the UK and looking for a secondhand Kemper Powerhead. (Could also do a part trade for my non-powered head).
Hit me up if you have or know of one for sale/trade. Cheers

So I was just falling asleep last night, thinking about my Kemper, as you do... and anyway thought of something that could be interesting.
As we know, some people prefer the natural live guitar cab sound to the close mic'd sound. (I too am one of those people). So I was thinking, would it be possible to, instead of close miking a speaker, create profiles using high quality room mics to replicate the more natural live sound?
Would this work? Has any one tried it? Are there any profiles out there?P.s. I know you can direct profile and play through a power-amp/cab, but this would still be a cool addition for studio guys listening through monitors...etc.

Ah ok great, thanks for that!

I can't wait to try this next week! Quick question though, when making direct profiles should you still have your cab plugged into one of the amp's outputs or is that not necessary?
-
Thanks so much Tim, these are sounding great. So far liking the H26S V30 VR F0C1S1 the most (with a few tweaks).
Looking forward to checking out the direct profiles too next week. Once again, so many thanks Tim!
-
Thanks Tim, that sounds perfect. Think the only switch combination you missed out was FAT=On C45=Off Sat=On.
So excited to hear this!

That sounds like fun, let's give it a go.I just checked the Friedman web page and it looks like the BE 4x12 cab has two Celestion G12M-25 Greenback's in the top and two V30's in the bottom, I can make some profiles with the V30's like we've been doing and I can also make some with the Scumback M75 which should be closer to the G12M-25 (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Also, that looks like an older model BE100, mine only has one input, this one has two inputs and he is plugged into the Low input. I wonder if the Low is the BE and High is the HBE, does anyone know? (I just found another photo where the input jacks are labeled BE and HBE, so he's probably using the BE channel)
Thanks Tim, pretty sure you're right about the inputs being separate channels for the old model, (but no idea about the speakers!). If possible, please remember to include the variations with the different switches engaged/disengaged.
Can't wait to try them!

Hi Tim, if you have any more time would you be able to attempt to replicate the BE100 tone from the first part of this video?:

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. The EQ settings are shown at 1:12 (though I don't know how the switches (FAT, SAT, C45...etc are set). Could you maybe do a few variations of activating different switches on the same settings as think this would be really interesting to hear!
Thanks so much for everything already!

Thanks Tim, the only thing more impressive than these profiles is your generosity.
Best stuff i've heard so far.

this is killer, please join a band.

Thanks mate, I missed that info, Cheers for the heads up!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I tried these profiles last night through the power section of my Diezel Herbert and into a 4x12 cab. The Soldano and Powerball were unbelievable. If I closed my eyes I could swear I was playing those heads through my set up.
Great work and thanks for sharing, so excited about new merged profiles!

Hi guys, i'm trying to make a direct profile and have connected everything up as instructed, however, the Kemper still seems to think I am doing a studio profile and is displaying the usual text about microphone levels. How do I tell it that I am making a direct profile?
Thanks!
-
Also on the direct amplifier profiles, does the Kemper 'push air' from the cabinet like the original amps?
-
Yup, sorry I meant 'Direct Amplifier Profiling'.
Kosta, can I ask why you'll hang onto you're original amps? (Not that I think I won't, just interested in the specific reasons).
Is it partly that, unless you create a large number of profiles for each amp (with multiple channels, gain stages...etc), you will loose some versatility? -
Just wondering who's already been experimenting with the new direct profiling feature, how does it compare to the real thing and is anyone selling their other amps as a result?

Hi, i'm looking to get a DI box to do some direct profiles of my Diezel Herbert which is a 180 watt head.
What do I need to look out for when choosing a DI box?Would something like this do the job?
