Hi Lex81 , my J50 had originally a non -ceramic bridge. The original bridge is a wooden bridge.
Im curious which gauge strings do you use on your j50?

Hi Bert,
May I ask a question about your acoustic guitar, Gibson j50?
Had your j50 originally a ceramic-bridge or was the bridge on your j50 originally a non-ceramic-bridge?
thank you.
I recently bought the Clean, Rock, Crunch and Lead packs...
On a few profiles, the cabinet section says: Bert's Cab 1x12...
Bert, which speakercab is this? Is this the BoD cab?
Today, Ive installed version Beta7.5 on my profiler: Now there is a LowCut/HighCut in the ouput-menu which is always on.
But, then I saw that the LowCut, cuts always at a minimum of 20.6Hz...… so, not going to 0 HZ
And the HighCut, cuts always at the maximum of 33488.1Hz.
-> I would like a sofware "bypass" (on/off)knob for the LowCut/LowCut. (cause now the HighCut and Lowcut is always on).
And the LowCut/HighCut are cutting 18 db.
-> I would like to have 12db on the LowCut, please.
Like the CAB-maker software converts cab-IR's into speakers-simulation for the Kemper……
I would like to see a SPACE-maker software, that converts room-IR's into a room-simulation for the Kemper...… With a (0 - 100%) mixknob on the Kemper.
A (real) roomsound is something else, then a (spring)reverb.
This way the Kemper has 'natural air' around its profiled-sound, cause profiling doesnt included the room in its sound.
What do you think about this idea?
I noticed that a HiPass filter-section really helps a guitarsound to sit in the mix perfectly…..
Therefor Id like to see a HiPass filter in the AMP-menu of the Kemper.
High Pass filter section with:
1> frequency parameter knob
2> db parameter knob
3> bypass button
What do you think?
Right...........pick one
Which speakers are in those different cabs?
And why dont you change the speakers of your Bogner 212c?
Guys, thanks for all your replies- some valid points from either side. Ultimately, for me the most important thing is how it sounds. And that pat hasn't convinced me. I'm going to profile my own amp to really be able to A/B between them. But i'm afraid i'm gonna hear the same thing that bugging me on all the other profiles, but who knows it could be an a ha moment
This is spot on!
The profile itself has to sound great....instead of trying to improve a phasy-profile (or a thinsounding-profile) with the Kemper internal filters.
You can profile your own amp(s), the way you want it and therefor are profiles a reproduction of a personal amp recording taste.
Personally, I think this is Kempers strongest thing.
Bert, I just tested your new profiles
Now, Ive got: Bm ProfilePack1; BM ProfilesPack2; Bverb and the F-man.
Honestly, I didnt like the quality of the B-verb.
But, these 'BM F-MAN' profiles are by far the best Bert Meulendijk profiles. Bert what did you changed, by making these F-MAN profiles?
Ive bought profiles from several profilers: TopJimi; STL; Soundside; Pete; MixBerlin; MBritt; Guido; ChopK; AM; Doublempact; DrZ; ToneHawk; CiliLab; Katzbach.
And these 'BM F-MAN' profiles are the most realistic sounding modern-amp-style profiles out there !
Dear Kemper-colleagues, dont hessitate; You wont regret buying these 'F-MAN' profiles .
Display MoreIt's not funny because it implies violence? Really?
Absurd.
IMHO some of the funniest movies out there are Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, and there's a lot of violence in them...
For some of us, Black humour is so necessary because we like it. Actually it might not be so necessary, but the freedom of speech is in fact quite necessary.
Cheers.
A movie is not real....You should know that.
So, a movie comparing to writing on a musicforum is aburd.
Display MoreWoah, "everybody" should lighten up. When I said, "can somebody lend me a gun hahaha?", I said it in reference to people like Kim Dotcom and hackers who steal money from poor people, and also pricks who steal and sell profiles. That's pretty tongue in cheek, even if you have to rely on the "hahaha".
Is this what the net has boiled down to today? Like someone erroneously quoting Zappa to a musician: "You can't do that on stage anymore".
I assumed Lex81 thought the statement was an incitement to violence or request to assist in violence. So I quoted a famous line by someone who blew his head off without hurting anyone.
I don't see where this bit about "someone without an option to consider it a joke" is coming from on forums like this. Seriously, are you serious?
I suggest everyone go watch some bugs bunny vs Yosemite Sam or Elmer Fudd and chill out.
I'm not the one supplying ICBM technology to North Korea, that's China. Nor am I supplying US hardware to "moderate" rebels in Syria who despise anyone who's not Sunni/Shi'ite/Kurdish, that's the US and European military-industrial complex. Nor am I looking the other way while gangs sell drugs to kids, that's every intelligence operation out there, perhaps the people with "some jobs".
If the people "with jobs who have no option" were actually worth the toilet paper they write reports to their seniors, poor folks like me would not be worried that we'd be conscripted to fight and die any one of these days.
I demand to have my "black humour" (hyok hyok) moments every now and then. Freedom of speech has limits, I concur, but if Johnny Depp can jokingly say he's going to assassinate Donald Trump, I am sure every one of those doomed to a normal, ordinary, staid life can relate to what I said about shooting someone/oneself.
Back on topic please, we were discussing Dr Z's official profiles, thanks.
First of all: It could be damaging to the 'third-party profiles' Kemper users, when someone uploaded hundreds of MBritt & SinMix profiles into the RE.
But... that is no reason to write on a (Kemper) music-forum about: "Can anyone lend me a gun, hahaha?"
This went too far.
Its not even funny.
It implies violence.
Why is this so necessary to you?
As we are all aware, Johnny Depp was not joking at Glastonbury Festival, when he talked about assassinating the president of the USA.
Johnny is no stranger to violence: Even to his wife
hi Bert,
Would it be possible for you to make a 'making the profile' video, of the wisseloord-collection?
Like a short 5 minute video compilation, how you create a profile from scratch - till a great working profile?
Kind of a promotion video for that wisseloord-collection bundle as well -:)
Display MoreFor all we know, the rigs were never bought and were received for free and then the user decided to "pass it on" for credit in the community.
It's quite disgusting. People like that will always get a leg up over people like me who look at these things and then work to the bone to be able to afford them.
And guys like that? Stealing is in their blood, it's the family code, a way of life.
Can anyone identify the user and his IP address? We should publicly shame him, though I doubt Kemper Amps will play ball for fear of being sued.
Which is what could happen with scumbags like that. Look at Kim Dotcom. Look at the Pirate Bay. These people made so much money doing illegal things, they could buy each of us out many times over.
All we have is some strange notion of honesty, which probably doesn't cut it in this day and age, sadly.
Can anyone lend me a gun, hahaha?
This last sentence is wrong. You can't say that.
Display MoreTapp Amps offered some profiles of 2 of their amps for a while --> http://www.tappamps.com/tapp-amps-kemper-profiles/
I think especially for smaller manufacturers (in this case they don´t even sell the amps officially) it is a great tool to get some recognition from a wider audience.
And for the big guys like Marshall, Vox, Peavey, Mesa, etc... it could be also a great marketing tool. Just think about how many profilers are used and how many people they could reach with perfect made profiles.
I hope this will happen in any way.
Official Profile Packs?? Hell Yeah!
On 21 March 2017, Id send this message to amp manufacture Divided by13:
I've red that since the release of the Kemper Profiler, the sales of tube-amp manufactures has decreased.
And therefor tube-amp manufactures are mad, on the Kemper manufacture.
I've noticed that serveral kemper-users made profiles of Divided by13amps & sell these Divided-profiles.
But, I don't understand why Divided (and other tube-amp manufactures) don't make their own profiles of THEIR own tube-amps.
It would make sence if Divided made their own profiles, then (at least) Divided will be getting paid for their OWN tone.
Now Divided doesnt get any money and other people are getting paid for Divided-profiles.
Please, could you share your thoughts?
If you want, I could help you with profiling.
I've got mic's (sm57 & r121 & md421), preamps (two AmsNeve 1073classic) and a summingmixer (Burl b32), with ATC speakers.
On 21 March 2017, Id also send this message to Matchless, Marshall, Fender, Vox and a few other tube-amp manufactures.
None of these tube-amp manufactures respond!
And because of this, I have no problem for paying for profiles to somebody, who doesnt own the tube-amp company.
Bert,
Ive red that your pedal-profiles in profile-pack2, were profiled in combination with (the cleanchannel of) an amp.
But, in profile-pack1 is the pedal-profile of TheBoxOfRock.
Was tbor profiled, in combination with an amp as well?
That tbor profile seems very amplike to me.
Ive seen this video of the voice of holland
And this video of the voice of holland
These Kemper profiles of Bert Meulendijk are great!
Bert could you tell us, which profiles youve used for that song 'mercy' and for 'sex on fire'?
And did you changed the eq-settings on your profiles for these songs?
Hi Bert,
On the BM-Profilepack1 you've told, that you've angled the mics for the profiling (sm57 to the center of the cone & u47 the edge of the cone)
Did you use this 'angled' mic-technic on Profilepack2 as well?
Yesterdag, Ive made a Matchless profile.
The profile is from the second-channel, in the sixth (rotary-selector)position.
Its in the RigExchange as: (Matchless) 2.6

Hi Bert,
I saw a Strymon Bluesky on your rig pictures, while the Kemper's reverb-slot seems 'on' as well.
Could you tell me, for what do you uses the Bluesky?
And is it in the loop of the Kemper?
And could you tell me, what is all that in your rack, in that second picture?
Thanks!
I like the OneDS stomp, with these settings: (kinda ZVex BoxOfRock)
drive: 0.1
tone: -1.5
volume: +0.4
The other overdrive/distortions stomps, sounds like there is a filter on the sound.
I didnt tested those fuzz-stomps (Muffin and FuzzDS) yet.
About the boosters:
- I like the PureBooster and the WahPedalBooster
- The TrebleBooster and LeadBooster sounds like there is a filter on the sound.
