Personally I would not use a VG88 in this way. Send your clean unaltered guitar sound to the Kemper and send the VG88 to the PA or mixer. You are sending a modelled sound into a modelled amp and that is just a receipt for bad sound just my $.02

I was going to compliment you on your room until I saw the Cowboys crap. Go EAGLES!!
Ha ha, it's been a tough year for sure. What a division we have, lol.

I am waiting to get my hands on the new Roland JC40, it should be great with the Kemper. Right now I use a Roland KC-350 keyboard amp and my Kemper sounds incredible.

JVDW,
I have three Les Paul's, (True Historic R0, '13 R0, CC33). I have tried the tailpiece on the deck and up,about 1/4" off. There is no difference in sustain that I could tell.
If you do drop the tailpiece onto the deck, make sure to top wrap. The reason is you don't want the strings touching the back of the saddle as it is too much of a break angle and will put too much pressure on the posts and bend it. The other benefit of less break angle, the strings will be easier on bends, feel looser.
Personally I keep my tailpiece off the guitar about 1/4" and do not top wrap.
Enjoy your R8, she is a beauty.

Yes I use various OD pedals, prefer them to Kemper OD.
A few I use often are:
TS MINI, TS , OCD, MXR FET BONAMASSA, TC DARK MATTER, SHIBA DRIVE, FULLTONE 2B
a few more that I can't remember right now lol. -
Sambrox, stick a ts808 in front of the Kemper with your Vai song and it would sing forever.
thanks for sharing

Andy,
Thanks for all the great profiles, many are still my go to amps. I am looking forward to this last pack.Looking forward to what you might have in store for the Kemper community and your new venture.
Cheers!

I have my Kemper down to around 200 rigs, but I find that 99% of the time I use one rig, ride my guitar volume and tone knobs and use a couple of OD pedals out front. It's a nice Marshall Plexi and I can get just about anything out of it. Loving it!
What has been your experience? Do you like variety or have a go to rig?

My Kemper I eye aye!

Not usable in what way?
An overdrive pedal is meant to push an amp that is on the verge of breakup or already distorted and adds a boost to the signal just a little more to achieve the desired drive effect. Yes you can get some gritty tones alone with an overdrive but they work better IMO when used to drive an amp.I never use an overdrive type pedal on a clean amp. I would choose a distortion pedal for clean amps.
Maybe try the same clean amp rig and add some gain to that rig, so it almost breaks up and then use the TS9 to add that little bit of drive to it. Use your guitar volume to clean up the Kemper when you want that rig to sound a little more clean.
-
Personally I would run your TS9 in front of the Kemper and not in the loop.
-
I use a few, it depends on the profile I find the pedals add some nice sustain.
here is my list:
Ibanez TS HW
Ibanez TS Reissue
Ibanez TS mini
Fulltone 2B
Fulltone OCD 18v
MXR Bonamassa FET
MXR Echoplex
Suhr Shiba Driver -
I have not been too fond of the boost or distortion sounds, so I still use a variety of those. The Kemper works really well with them.
I should try my HOF in the chain, as I have one laying around unused. What settings are you using OP?
-
Bah! I to and. I iPhone sin bin.
-
I almost my typing. I to and then stop.
-
I to party!

Cool, Andy! I will make my way over there and give the free rigs a go. When will the full pack be ready?
Many of your rigs are still my go to. Will you re-do some of the amps from the older packs? -
My number one is my Gibson Les Paul True Historic R0, best Les Paul I have ever played.
Followed by my 2013 Les Paul R0 Reissue, EVH USA Wolfgang, Gibson 2006 BB King Lucille, Gibson ES175, Fender Reclaimed Pine Stratocaster. I have a bunch more, but these are my main go to guitars.
