Based on the feedback here I connected my Profiler to a different usb port on my pc (actually a 3.0 one) and so far so good no long sync hitches and/or freezes! You may want to try a faster usb port if you have one or just switch. FYI, all my USB ports are full on the back of my PC.

Actually you can switch back and forth to Browser mode and back to performance mode and your performance will still be saved if you are editing it. But if you switch Performances and don't save it will revert to whatever it was last saved at.

Being that I've been studying the diminished scale, I figured why not put together a demo of two of these profiles today? Using two profiles (left and right) from G1 Productions Driftwood Profiles for the Kemper:

Just picked these up!

Mbritt has (in his vintage pack) Polytone MB3 1

Actually the rig is pure but the effects are pretty tweaked, because I put a delay and reverb on it in the mastering process to sort of bake it into the mix. Also had it recorded with some delay. I'm not very good at this but the raw tone is really nice and much fatter without fx so I'll probably stuck with that next time.

Just a FYI, here's some lead tone from the Mark IV pack; just quick improvisation of mellow lead that I put over some acoustic ideas I had. The lead was MarkIV 10; the acoustic was done with Dorrus acoustic Loudbox profiles.

I hope they release a windows update soon for the sync issues!

I did a little diddy with some acoustic progressions I've been working on today with these profiles; guitar on the left is the fishman loudbox with more fx and on the right is a relatively straight fishman performer f both by Dorrus! Thanks Dorus!

You are supposed to be able to 'reassemble' the file again without compression, but no one is really clear how to do that; I tried and couldn't do it so had to resort to that software. Maybe someone else can chime in on this last step before you rename the file and restore the backup: ie, how do you exactly re 'rar' the file without compression?
-
Ya, that's confusing. I had to use Total commander64 to explore and delete the file; use the demo version for free; it can open the archives and you can actually edit the file from inside the explorer/software without uncompressing the original file I think. Anyway, that should fix your issues.

The excellent quality of these Friedmans made me revisit the workshop, I had it downloaded but too many profiles to sift through, as I just bought the Kemper a couple of months ago. I'm glad I did because Mr. Dill profiles are definitely among the best of the best.
Regarding the workshop, best of the best, true, but I think his naming conventions are 'the weirdest of the weirdest' LOL
Never been so confused trying to figure out amp names.

I think Mr. Dill is so good at profiling (his workshop tones are amazing as well, especially for cleans) that he has this down pretty good. Once you know how to ride a bicycle...kind of thing.

Is there a chance this will become available in mini packs? I can't justify the cost on more profiles as it's quite a lot. Don't get me wrong it's a good price for all you get!
Why oh why is there no Dr Z in there tho? My favourite by far of the Amp Factory profiles is the pushed and full Custom Wreck n Roll ones. Love them! Is there anything in this pack similar?
I think he mentioned that eventually, with the site updated, he will offer this as single packs. Andy please correct me if I'm wrong of course!

I am still having such a ball with those! Here is a track called "Fried Men in Black". I wanted to concentrate on a "real" song, but had so much fun noodling around.
Production-wise a disaster, but never mind. All the sounds are profile 3ST. cheersDoes this mean your previous tireless search for Friedman tones has come to an end? Enjoyed the jam too!

Just watch the commercial forums, they'll announce any sales within the thread title usually. Usually they will have a discount/sale for nearly every holiday (just had halloween sales); so yes, I would bet on some sales coming soon.

Right, I have some Dill profiles on my kemper already from that workshop! He is excellent. These are outstanding as well, plus DI! Nice! I found the DI ones work really well with Britt Mars 69 GB cabs if you have them, or Guido's Bogner.
