I thought it was The Amp Factory?
Sorry, you're right. Google is a wonderful thing -- if you're looking at the correct results!

Oh, Tube Amp Factory. The Google is a wonderful thing.
I've been using a TAF Laney for this sound, so I'm excited to see this thread and try it out.
Proper tuning is essential tho. I'd bet even transpose doesn't do it the justice of a proper detuning.
Curious, what's TAF Laney?
I honestly think the tone is better with transpose. I had a dedicated C# guitar and it didn't matter what I did with string gauges and other adjustments, it just didn't have the same thickness of tone behind it. I had it renutted for 9-46 and will throw a different pickup in it to give it a new purpose.
I don't see this profile either! RM or the web site, really strange.
Try a search in "All Rigs" in RM for "r.u.sirius" -- should bring up a ton of rigs and "IronMan Iommi" should be there.
Yeah I'd say 90% of my favorite rigs are non-commercial. The Deadlight Studio folder I just created in my RM now has 19 rigs in it and my neighbors are not going to be happy!
So I go into Rig Manager thinking, 'Those were great, wonder if he's done any other profiles." Uh, wowzers, that was #100 by my count! It'll be a busy evening with the toaster!
thank you! Yes and if you need it a bit brighter and less aggressiv in the lows just pick Profile C
That's a good point -- for C# tuning the brighter C profile is probably a better choice. And thanks again, a lot of folks will get many hours of enjoyment from your efforts here and it's greatly appreciated.
Here's a quick clip of the Hesu B profile I did:
It's a beast of a rig!
Wow, these profiles are exceptional. Will be using these regularly! Thanks very much!
I just saw that Kemper is coming out with one. I think I'll wait!
My rig change happens instantly. I'm using FCB UnO 4K.
Ok, I figured it out -- I guess it's this you're referring to:
Thanks, I like the idea of switching to a volume-up version of the same rig for a solo, but my only question: does the rig change happen quick enough for that or is there a delay? I've only ever used the toaster controls or Rig Manager to change rigs, and there's a delay from the time I click my mouse to the time the rig is ready. If those midi foot controllers give me the goods right away that might be a good option in addition to the old school pickup switch methods.
For the record, I wouldn't dare play live. I ain't that good, that I'm sure of!
Glad you got that sorted out. Have fun with that beast!
Ok, I see what you guys are doing. You're searching through the web version of Rig Exchange. I just did that and it doesn't appear.
You have to search within the Rig Manager program that you download onto your computer. Go to the search box in the top right-hand corner and search for "IronMan" and it'll come up.
Can't wait to try this we do a couple of early Sabbath tunes
It's great for The Wizard too, if you do that one.
I'm also not finding it, looks like it's gone. I even went back to the upload date of Oct 14th 2013 on the rig exchange and found nothing.
I just checked -- searching in Rig Exchange folder only and it came up for me. I tried attaching it to this post but it wouldn't take the file type.
Absolutely love this rig. We cover Lord of this World and this rig works perfectly. I did add a transpose to it so I dont need to drop tune. Seriously considering using it for more songs we play with drop tunings.
That transpose function is awesome for drop tuning. Saved me so many headaches.
Searched, found nothing
Did you type "IronMan" as one word? You need to for it to come up.
What is the name of the rig?
Search "IronMan Iommi" in the Rig Exchange. You'll need to turn up the rig volume to 12 o'clock, then set Master Volume as needed.
I am used to play with tubeamps with volumboost, this is for me the best option. When i was looking for a lunchbox amp(Mesa Mini Rectifier) i was buying a Skrydstrup BR1 boosterpedal who could do the same. transparent without changeing the amp sound. On my Kemper i simply make two paralell presets A-B with solovolume on B.
I dont like to use volumpedal because its very difficult to get the same rythm level each time! then its better to have solovolum from high to higher, than high to low!! always be herd and cut trough. if you have A-B presets you can also have different gain and EQ on solovolum to smooth out tone
I like this idea too. I guess I would need to be able to switch rigs with some sort of foot controller. Back to the manual!
