There is no need to use an external looper pedal in the FX loop. Simply assign Master Mono as the output source for the direct output/send and use the Aux in function to return the signal from the looper back into the Profilers signal flow. This will ensure that the full signal of the Profiler (including all 8 effects) gets looped and you do not need to have an active FX loop in each rig you want to use the looper with.

This approach will also prevent the issue that the OP seems to be suffering from where the looped signal gets treated by any effects that might be positioned after the actual FX loop position in the signal chain.

That's a great idea... but if I understand correctly from the manual, you cannot use this in conjunction with a mono effects loop, right? which is a pity...

    Page 124 of the manual:

For all other PROFILER variants, the Auxiliary Input cannot be used while you have an Effect Loop active in your Rig, or while you are in PROFILER Mode, as the physical inputs are needed for a different purpose.

If you use a mono loop, you only use the DIRECT OUTPUT/SEND and RETURN ports. So, the MONITOR OUTPUT and ALTERNATIVE INPUT could still be available (since it's a mono loop). That would give the possible to use the mono external effects loop in conjunction of e.g. a looper using the monitor output and alternative input (maybe setting the AUX input).

Is there no way to give this possibility in a future update?

    Hi,

I'm planning to buy the EXH String9 pedal but I want to know a few things first from people who own and use one of the already existing EHX pedals (Synth9/Mel9/...).

How do you use the pedal in conjunction with the Kemper? Knowing that:

    - I want to be able to use a medium or high gain profile on the Kemper for the guitar, but the synth signal has to stay clean/undistorted;

    - I want to be able to play a guitar solo over an EHX pad (using the EHX freeze function);

    - I want to be able to hear either the guitar sound, either the synth sound, or a mix between both by maybe morphing between the two sounds with an expression pedal.

One of the ideas I came up with, is:

Guitar -> EHX -> dry signal -> Kemper -> X Module : effects loop -> Send: goes nowhere! (might need a dummy jack) -> Return: synth signal (wet signal from EHX) -> Mod/Reverb/Delay

The mix setting in the effects loop would then allow me to mix between the guitar signal (send) and the synth signal (return).

Would this work? Or do you have another solution implemented to make this work?

    I'm curious to know! Cheers.

If you like Ritchie Blackmore's sound from the era of Deep Purple Mark I, II, III, and of Rainbow's first two album, check out these profiles! They were made from a very rare Marshall Major amp.

This pack includes over 100 profiles (!) that try to simulate Ritchie Blackmore's sound during his years with Deep Purple (Mark II and III) and Rainbow. These are profiles of a very rare Marshall Major 200W Model 1967 amp from 1971-1972 in excellent condition. There were only 1200 copies made of this amp, and only a few are still in good condition, worldwide. The best is to play these rigs on a Strat, although many profiles also sound great on a Les Paul! This amp was also used by Mick Ronson and Stevie Ray Vaughan. These profiles sound the best on a FR speaker because the Scumback H55 speaker is an integral part of the unique sound.

The material that was used for making this pack, is the following:

    - a very rare Marshall Major 200W Model 1967 amp from 1971-1972

    - Good vintage tubes (preamp and power tubes)

    - The Pigeon (Hornby-Skewes clone) treble booster to simulate sounds during the period of Deep Purple Mark II

    - The BSM Studio 75 Treble Booster, which also incorporates a modus to emulate the AIWA and Top Boost sounds during the period of Deep Purple Mark III and the first two Rainbow albums

    - The Rivera Rockcrusher to reduce the volume at speaker level

    - A Scumback H55 30 Watt speaker

    - Shure SM57 and SM81-LC microphones

You will not find this kind of profiles anywhere else because there are so little Majors left in good condition! I checked it out and couldn't find any, that's why I decided to profile it myself. Furthermore, it was really not an easy task to get the right ingredients to get Ritchie's sound... Every composant in the sound chain has to be the right one. It took me years of experimenting with amps (Vox, Marshall Vintage Modern, and the Major), treble boosters and speakers to obtain this.

These profiles were made with firmware 5.1. Your KPA must be using 5.1 or later to use these profiles.

    Kemper Packs Testimonies:

    Suseguitar from Kemper forum:

I had a chance to play one of the profiles (037508) yesterday in our rehearsal room, played my Strat with Quarterpounds ;) - the solosound is just awesome, assertive, supporting and inspiring. Great work!

    Ibot39 from Kemper forum:

After testing the profiles my conclusion is: The pack does exactly what the author is advertising. You get the Blackmore sound from the mentioned era. Humbuckers are possible, other 70s rock-sounds with a little tweaking. But the real soul of this pack is authentic Blackmore-tone! For this it was created with an ear for details and this is were the rigs shine! Thanks for the nice pictures that complement this special pack. I have to highlight the pdf that comes with the profiles offering very detailed information. Great!

    Laker from Kemper forum:

These profiles are the real deal IMHO.

    Riddlescott from Kemper Forum:

I like it the better the longer i play it. What i also appreciate is the tasty effects settings. Highly recommended for the real Marshall Bluesy Staccato Strat Sound.

    raiellojr from Kemper forum:

I like the pack a lot...a little tweaking and I can get real close to your sound samples.

    Laker from Kemper forum:

Blackmore Marshall Major profiles [Flying Snowman Prods] - Only the one amp a Marshall Major but it sounds like the real deal. These profiles are outstanding. Everything they make sounds great. What I really like about them is their sound samples sound just like what you download. IMHO a lot of other profilers do not sound the same.

    Acolbourn from Kemper forum:

Thanks for the tips, just wanted to follow up for any else on the hunt for Frusciante tone. For profiles I tried flying snowman's more black pack listed above and they sound great!
